Traveling through State College, we tried to hit our favorite Happy Valley Brewing Co during a serious snowstorm and found it to be closed (due to weather) – – BUT, Voodoo was open (had never been)!! What a happy coincidence!! The atmosphere was excellent and the beer fantastic! The food was great as well – will definitely be back now that we know this place exists!! Highly recommend.

Cool dive bar atmosphere, with outdoor seating too. Good music (classic rock – The Eagles, etc.) but not too loud. The place was all but deserted on a Saturday at lunchtime. I highly recommend their “Where Our Secrets Go” imperial stout. It’s spectacular. Pulled pork sandwich was awesome, as well as the pretzel appetizer. Parking lot is a bit hard to get into, and parking is limited.

It is very nice place to chill outside in front of stream! Cocktail was pretty good.

We had breakfast menu: skillet and blueberry pancake. Skillet tastes good and has good amount of protein . However, as they serve on paper plate, it doesn’t have brunch vibe, of course

Many parents bring their children so that they can play outside and the parents chill.

Pet friendly.

I wanna visit again and try burger/pizza that many people order

As NJ residents with a place in State College, we learned about Voodoo Brewing Co. from bartender Danielle. During our initial visit, Danielle notably treated us and all patrons with care, courtesy, and great enthusiasm; and we enjoyed the terrific beers, food, and overall vibe. Now, every time we are in SC, we plan a Voodoo night, typically on a Bingo Thursday when bartender/number-caller Josh entertains us. On occasion, we have brought friends and family members along with us, and they have loved Voodoo as well. In retrospect, thanks to Danielle, we have come to regularly enjoy Voodoo, a friendly place tucked along an SC stream where you can chill and grab a good drink and a decent bite.

Super relaxed spot, enjoyed sitting by the water outside with the puppies. They are very dog friendly which was perfect for a quick stop off the highway. They were out of salad and I’m gluten intolerant but I subbed for the corn nachos and they didn’t charge any extra. Food was delicious, pink drink was the right level of sweet if you don’t care for beer , atmosphere was great. Will be back if we are in the area again.

Wow! What a place just outside of downtown state college. Situated on a creek where ducks ride rapids, lots of outdoor space to hang out. Cornhole in the parking lot. Excellent food – all made fresh – stuff runs out and folks that’s a good thing. Come here, spend a few minutes or a few hours. Everyone’s super friendly.

Voodoo came highly recommended from a couple locals and they were not wrong! Beer was excellent and the vibe was welcoming and relaxed. This is the brewery to visit in the SC area.

We took the whole family here for an afternoon of good drinks and games along the creek. All of the drinks were really good! I had a pineapple mango cocktail and the Lacto-Kooler beer, which was sour but delicious. We all enjoyed a game of Aggravation at the picnic table before pulling some chairs up creekside and watching the water pass by while enjoying the conversation. We had the nachos as well as the Dippies. The food was just ok; nothing that we felt would be a strong draw to come back. However, we had a great day and will definitely be back!!

If you follow me, you know that I do a lot of reviews on breweries. I stopped at the Voodoo Brewery PUB thinking it was the main location but clearly it’s not. I really like their brews. The State Collage location is small but pretty good with a few issues. Loved the setting next to the stream and walking/bike path but no way to cross over to it. Finding it on Google maps was ok but their sign is very easy to miss. See pic. Parking places are extremely limited. The beers were great and the available food (not part of the place) was excellent. Highly recommend making the stop

A little hole in the wall place right outside of downtown State College. It’s on the ground floor of Maine Bay and Berry Seafood. They have a great selection of beer and also have some good seafood items for food. Wes is one of of the main bartenders and he’s a really nice guy, plus is very efficient. The indoor seating is a little small, but they have a variety of board games. The outside seating is where it’s at as there is a small creek that runs behind the business with a large array of chairs and tables. Great place to relax after work.
