I ordered the crispy soy garlic combo with wings and drumsticks, but I received large fried chicken legs instead. There was no soy garlic flavor at all — it just tasted like plain fried chicken. This was my first time ordering from your store, and I’m very disappointed with the experience.

I think they have changed boneless meat from leg/thigh to breast. Also, meats are very thin, which makes fried chicken dry and tough. I do not recommend boneless chickens.

Surprisingly, first time having Vons Chicken for me.
The two of us ordered:
-crunch fried half combo: big fan. Great crisp and good pairing with ranch
-crispy yangyum half combo mild: too sweet for my taste buds. Definitely prefer the crunch over the crispy
-rice cake mild: used the same sauce as the yangyum, so not the biggest fan. They also fry their rice cake, so the texture was a bit different
-large korean beer
We ate inside, but they have outdoor seating as well. Staff was friendly.
Easy parking in the plaza.

Consistently good Korean Fried Chicken. This is really how I would sum up Vons Chicken Fremont because I literally can go for months without getting chicken from here and when I go back, it’s amazing as always. The chicken is lightly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The kid and I always like to get the honey butter chicken because it’s seriously the perfect marriage between savory and sweet. The other offerings outside of chicken are really tasty as well.
The service at this location is good, although some may think that the servers are a bit brusque. I have no problem with it, but some of my family noted that they feel a bit intimidated by some of the servers. They’re not unfriendly by any means, but can sound a bit terse, particularly when it’s very busy. I find that service is attentive, and when dining in, the service staff stop by when they can to refill drinks and check if everything is going fine. Overall, this is one of those places that our family consistently goes back to when we’re having a craving for some good fried chicken because it’s really that good.

Been there many times. Taste always consistent and delicious. Quick and friendly service. This place is the best compared to other locations.

We came here to order some chicken because someone had previously sampled some, which we enjoyed! When we first came into the shop, we were greeted well and the hostess described each of the menu items for us well. The store front has an outdoor dining area which is nice and the indoor dining area was fine. Taste of the chicken was great as the samples we tried earlier. We plans on returning again to try the outdoor dining area.

The wings overall were pretty good, a half potion is definitely sufficient! We ordered the special sauce chicken mild, as well as the crispy fried chicken with honey butter. I was a little disappointed the honey butter came as a powder sprinkled on top of the crispy fried. French fries were tasty, not overcooked or too salty. One less star due to the powder of honey butter and the fact that it was not mixed into the batter. Otherwise, service was great!

Family owned restaurant for the past 6+ years in 2024. My go-to is always the yangnyum (sweet & spicy) wings!
They have other vegetarian options as well like the kimchi fried rice or ddukbokee (spicy rice cakes) – highly recommend for anyone craving some beer and chicken after work!

Chicken comes out super crispy and hot and the menu is simple to read. I got the Von’s Special Sauce Chicken and wow was it special. It taste like a mix between BBQ sauce and Sweet orange chicken sauce. The only thing missing was a bowl of rice to go with that amazing sauce and crispy chicken.
