I only had a cheeseburger so I can only speak to that. It was great. Everything tasted great and fresh. The meat was well seasoned and the sauce was fantastic. The service was also fantastic. The lady who took my order was great. She asked if I wanted anything else and offered me peppers and ketchup when my order was ready. I will definitely return when I’m in the area.

Before I begin this review, I want to stress that I’m reviewing this as fast food. Please do not come to this place expecting restaurant quality based off the phenomenal reviews.
For starters, the location is pretty difficult to navigate. The parking lot was pretty busy and when the drive through line is long, it’s hard to park. It’s all outdoor seating as well.
I ordered the regular cheeseburger and fries. The burger was basically a Burger King burger, with extra sweet thousand island on it. The fries were pretty decent, they are rather large as you can see from the picture.
My wife was excited when she ordered the mushroom burger expecting the usual: caramelized mushrooms and onions with Swiss cheese. What she got was mushrooms on a burger. RAW red onions and lettuce. She hated it, and I had to hear about it ALL THE WAY HOME.
The only redeeming item was the shake. Honestly it was a pretty solid shake.
So in the end, for a fast food restaurant I’ll give it 3/5 stars. This place on google has a 4.6 star rating… which blows my mind. Not sure if it’s because it’s next to a high school, and kids have no idea what a decent burger is.
It was cheap though. If I was somehow in the area… it was late at night… and I was drunk… I still wouldn’t come back here because there is a little known spots called “In-N-Out” which blows this place out of the water and is priced roughly the same.

An institution for good reason. Family owned and operated, Volcano doesn’t slip in any department. Burgers on point. Zucchini fries better than any potatoes could ever dream of being, with the exception of the chili cheese fries. Tacos even hit. They do it all and make it look easy. I’m a volcano boy for life.

I have no clue why anyone likes this place. The patties are incredibly thin…. A person with a normal appetite (I weigh 160lbs at 5foot10) would have to eat 5 of their volcano burgers to feel satisfied…. This spot is all about Hype because Los Alamitos high school student tell their parents to go here. They should be embarrassed by the burgers they serve….

consistently great. comparing this to omega burgers in lakewood Volcano burgers is great. They give free refills on orange bang and their food is delicious. They have a wide variety of food options and almost anything you order is pretty good. Love getting the onion rings or zucchini fries. Service is great too and the employees are very attentive and nice. great portions as well.
