Cool little spot in the heart of the Rutherford circle. It is a byob which is always fun. We started with the salad and bread (both were complimentary). Decent Ceasar dressing for sure! Bread was nice and traditional. We got the mussels as an app. They were cooked really well, and no shells broke into the sauce. Very soupy sauce, but in a good way. For the entre, we got the spaghetti and clams and the shrimp and linguini. Both seafood broths were decent. The clams were okay, but particularly, that day could have been fresher. The shrimp was good but was slightly overcooked. We got espresso to finish, and it was strong and nice. It’s definitely worth checking out. Parking is a bit scarce in the area, but you’ll find something. Cost wise, it isn’t too bad at all. Overall, I give Volares a 3.4 out of 5.

Great specials deal! 4 courses for $28.00 when paying cash.. APPETIZER, SALAD, ENTREE, DESSERT with coffee or tea. BYOB! Of course the regular menu was also available as well as a few daily specials. Food was delicious and plentiful….Service spot on!

Very cozy and friendly restaurant. I loved the fried calamari, fillet mignon and their homemade salad dressing. It’s good that it is byob, which is more economical. Prices are very reasonable. There is a liquor store right next door too.

Friends who choose this place to eat rate it higher than I do. Every dish is competent but to this foodie none is outstanding. Maybe my expectations are unusually high because my ex was half Italian, taught me how to cook, made his own pasta, nothing could touch his marsala sauce or his risotto. I will say on this visit the shrimp parmesan was exceptionally good. Also this meal was notable for its value: special, $25 for a limited menu but the meal was complete: I had stuffed mushrooms, caesar salad, shrimp parmesan over spaghetti, cheesecake, and coffee.

My husband and I can not get enough of this restaurant. With amazing food, wonderful staff and great service you can’t ask for more. We are always impressed with the quality of the food and the never ending list of daily specials that they offer. (Amazing fish dishes, melt in your mouth Filet and home made pastas and sauces) The food is absolutely addictive!

It’s no wonder no one’s ever heard of this place. I ordered linguine with clams and it was not good. It was way oversalted, the clams in the shells tasted weird, and the chopped up clams were clearly from a can. If I hadn’t been starving and waited three years for it to finally come out, I wouldn’t have eaten it. The older lady server was nice. The man that brought out my salad was ridiculous. I was sitting next to my boyfriend, talking to him, this guy comes between us, doesn’t say excuse me, and threw the salad at me so fast, he almost hit me in the face with his arm. Seriously? That is just shocking. I stared at him in disbelief and he just walked away without even looking at me. I will never set foot in this place again. Also, the menu on their website is completely different than the menu at the restaurant. A lot of food is missing from the menu at the restaurant, food that I would’ve wanted.
