Edit:11/8/2025 tried the Hu tieu pork shrimp and wonton. The both was good with a slight sweetness to it. Wonton and pork were good but the shrimp and egg noodles were basically flavorless.
Edit:12/13/2025 had the traditional banh mi which was average and bun Bo hue which we liked. Lots of meat and the broth was just right.
I had bao buns for an appetizer and they were delicious. Light fluffy buns overflowing with super flavorful pork belly, fresh cucumber, and carrots. Very satisfying.
I had bo kho for an entree and it was equally delicious. Rich beef broth with roast beef, big pieces of carrot, rice noodles, and a plate of garnishes of bean sprouts, jalapenos, lime, and mint. It has a pepper beside it indicating it’s spicy, but I didn’t find it very spicy, but it did have an especially nice depth of flavor.
I also ordered a baguette to dip in my stew and it was delivered hot and fluffy. I didn’t consider this a true baguette, more like a Mexican bolillo, but still very good.
The floor is controlled chaos with the staff moving from the kitchen through the dining area with a friendly nonchalance while delivering food, clearing tables, and taking orders. What I assume is the manager or owner constantly checked on the customers and handled the cash only register (there’s an ATM if you forget cash).
All in all it was a delightful experience. I was solo on a Saturday night and never felt rushed, ignored, or bothered.
My favorite dining experience in Nashville, highly recommend.
I ordered the bot chien (fried flour) dish. My favorite childhood street food when I lived in Vietnam. I was shocked to see it on the menu as I have never seen a Viet restaurant serve it. It did not disappoint and they were very generous with the quantity of egg in the dish. Sweet soy sauce was on point. There was a side of pickled carrots when usually it should be green papaya but that’s ok. Still would give the dish 9/10.
Ordered pork and shrimp spring rolls. Banh mi and Bun Bo Hue as well. All were very good 8/10. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Nashville.
Only “problem” we had was parking. Small parking lot.
Pros:
1. Presentation of the food was nice. Soup was steaming and the tea looked cool before I stirred it.
2. Prices were decent.
3. Service was good and friendly.
4. The quality of ingredients was good. I liked the meats and the meatball was yummy.
Cons:
1. The broth was lacking depth and felt like it was missing something. My brain was ready for a pho + tom yum remix based on the description on the menu but it was not that. I ended up adding salt and the house chili oil which seemed mild as well (I bought some of the oil to try again at home).
2. Food was not spicy.
3. This is a cash-only establishment. There is an ATM in the back that charges $3.99 for withdrawals.
Overall, I would eat here again but I’d try something different and I’d bring cash instead of paying the high ATM fee.
