as locals, this is delicious and best in the area!! they can get pretty busy quick though which is great for the business and icl the food is amazing soooo win win!!!… The kind lady that was our server, i didn’t quite get the name of her but she had glasses and she was super hardworking and was excellent. as a restaurant waitress myself, i understand how it is when it gets busy lol. everything was top notch and my first time trying katsu, just chicken this time it was amazing but so much with what i ordered regularly

Would have given this a five-star review however our server was not really very friendly. I don’t know if he was tired or just annoyed with something because my mother and I were very nice to him. The name Qunlin comes to mind and he could be the owner as far as I know. The food was good and we had a wonderful dessert that mochi ice cream. Many blessings for 2026.

We really enjoyed our experience here! The food was really good and the staff was great! We called and made a reservation, and it was perfect! We went on a Wednesday night, and you could have easily got a table, no problem. The restaurant stayed full but not packed. They are a smaller operation, but try and make sure everyone has a great time! The rolls were amazing! There is a 20% gratuity added to parties of 4 or more. 18% on smaller groups.

We go to VKI a lot because of the wonderful lunch specials. I love the hibachi shrimp and the kids like the bento boxes. Hubby likes the sushi rolls which he usually eats three!

Just moved here from Arizona and stopped here looking for our new sushi spot. Well we definitely found it!! The service was amazing, food came out quickly and the presentation was beautiful! The sushi was SO fresh and flavorful!! Highly recommend the Fancy Shrimp roll! We will back!!

Came back into town to visit for a couple of weeks, and my friends treated me to dinner. It was very much a treat. Tennessee can’t come close to the quality of sushi I enjoyed. Fresh Gulf to table is the only way. I highly recommend this place. If you have never been here, give it a try. You will return again, I promise.

I don’t often stop for Japanese, but I had heard good things about this restaurant and decided dinner after a movie would be a good way to end the day. I was not disappointed. I was greeted immediately and welcomed. Ordered shrimp dumplings for an appetizer, and they were excellent. Tender, lightly fried, with a mild taste. The dipping sauce was an excellent pungent accent. Dinner was chicken and shrimp hibachi. It came with miso soup, salad, and fried rice. The soup was excellent with a delicate aroma and flavor that was pleasing. The hibachi was tender, the shrimp had excellent flavor, the chicken was tender, and the sauce was rich and flavorful without being overly salty. The rice was not strong but well cooked. I added a little extra sauce to it, and it was perfect. I rounded out my meal with hot tea. Overall, it was a very satisfying dinner.

We were on our way home from an outing and happened to drop in right before lunch ended, but they were willing to accommodate us! The kids had a great time, one of our kids is super picky about sauces and the server always remembered to check first before adding any sauce to the group rice and to her meat dish. We were very happy we stopped in!!
