I am almost afraid to post this review because I don’t want everyone to learn about this best kept secret in Las Vegas but here we go…
If you are ready for the absolute most delicious authentic Mexican food … then well this is the perfect place for you. The flavors are out of this world. They make the tortillas in house behind a glass window. The fresh guacamole is made table side and my mouth is watering just thinking about. Like… 15/10! I order something different every time I go but it’s always just as delicious as the last. Bring cash for tipping since they have live music nightly! Love! The service is amazing too. Very attentive and friendly. They love their regulars- and I am certainly one of them. The margaritas are insanely delicious and very generous if you catch happy hour you can get a 2 for 1 pricing. Complimentary bean dip, salsa and freshly made corn tortilla chips!
If I’m heading out for a first date this wouldn’t be my pick but only because the location is a little sketchy, parking can be a bit tricky and the atmosphere and feel of the restaurant is not the most modern or sexy, but if food quality and taste matters most to you, you need to try this place! Omg now I’m hungry after writing this !!!

This mexican restuarant is very clean and authentic. The atmosphere is very rustic and all the decorations are very authentic of the times. The service is very good the servers are extremely attentive and always ready to help. The food is very good with deep flavors and original to the mexican way. A+ to this place, you need to stop in for a bite it will not disappoint.

Service was nonexistent, wife and I ordered the 3 al pastor taco plate and the al pastor was flavorless, and super chewy. Waited over 30 minutes for our food, and the place was nowhere near full. Got my daughter a children’s quesadilla and fries, the quesadilla was disappointing. The kept refilling our sodas, so I guess that was cool. Don’t recommend. They asked us if we wanted to go boxes and we respectfully denied, food was not worth boxing and taking home.

The food was very delicious and my wife and I enjoyed everything. They made the flour tortillas fresh while your food is being prepared. This restaurant has a nice upscale ambiance without the price and would love 2 return, being that I stay on the east of America!!

Amazing find! Great menu with so many options. Traditional, authentic Mexican food. Great atmosphere, and service. Wish I lived closer to come here more often. Had one of the combinations (a section on the menu) which was so good. Good drinks options including some nonalcoholic beers too.

Viva Zapato. A name that sounds catchy. But can just as easily be overlooked. And if you look closely, it appears like an old Vegas term Viva Las Vegas.
A place in time where food tasted authentic. A casa where service felt genuine. A cantina with a combination as exciting as the wild west. Where you exit feeling as satisfied as a smooth southern saloon.

Incredible flavors and authentic vibes! The salsa alone is worth the trip: fresh, vibrant, and just the right amount of heat. We had the vegetarian tacos, beef taco and a cheese enchilada, and all were absolutely delicious. You can tell everything is made from scratch with care. Great service, cozy atmosphere, and truly satisfying food for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike!

Zapata’s is a lunch favorite. Really good authentic Mexican food here. The salsa is excellent and really never had a bad meal here. You’ve got to get there by 11:10 or you’re going to need a long lunch break. This place fills up fast. I’m a Relleno junkie so I get that often. It’s not the absolute best ever but it’s quite good and better than many others. They do a great torta and fajitas as well. I like the old feel atmosphere for just an anytime meal but I’m not taking my date there for a special night out. Overall I highly recommend it for a good meal.
Have to add an edit after a recent visit. Had a $14 margarita that I won’t order again. It was a $7 value. And the nieve frita is not made fresh when you order. It’s nice to get the corn chips all warm and toasty. Not here, this was pre done. Won’t do this again either. Still love the food so I’ll stick to that but I strive to give some solid feedback in my reviews so save your money and the calories on these 2 items.

10/10. Lorenzo and his team have crafted something truly special in Northtown. Quickly seated our party of 8, excellent service, filling food, and not too loud – all at a fair price that doesn’t compromise quality.

Great place, great ambiance. You can tell the people who work at the restaurant are happy. Fun live music, food felt authentic and fresh. Quantity is on the higher side for those who don’t eat a lot. The place is better for larger groups.

We had the fresh guacamole for appetizers, which was made live at the table and a Avo taco plate, which included rice and beans and a soup. Overall taste of the tacos were okay-ish. I would go back for more. Wish they had more vegetarian options.
