Visited Saturday at lunch time, plenty of seating. Ordered 14 breakfast tacos to go. 6 different types. Order was ready in about 5 minutes. Homemade tortillas. Order was perfect. I really enjoyed the barbacoa taco. Tacos were large enough. Fed 7 people for $45. Not bad.
The food was not worth $26.
However had the waitress chosen to tell us that they were closing in less than 10 minutes we would have left
This did not happen. My poofy tacos were not very good. The churro beans were cold.
We were rushed out of the restaurant.
When I brought the situation up to the head waitress, the had we have been told that you were closing in 10 minutes we would not have stayed. All she said is that’s okay.
No that is not okay. We were rushed out in about 10 minutes after we got our food. We did not get to relax. The food was quickly done and not up to par. The even told us that if we wanted anything else from the kitchen we had to order it immediately. They told us they were dumping the tea so I needed to get it immediately or too bad.
When you pay over $35 to eat lunch plus tip. You expect some decency. Are maybe some accountability on their side. This was handled very badly. In fact since the new ownership the last three times I’ve eaten here have been handled badly.
I come back less and less due to the menu changes, the constant change in waitstaff, and the overall taste in food and attitude I guess
Me and my friend both ordered the fried fish special, while his girlfriend ordered the fajita plate. Both were on the special of the day. Our fish plate was at 6.99. Which was a steal of a deal. 3 planks of Pollock fried fish, a side of arroz, side salad, crispy seasoned fries and a lime wedge. I believe the special comes with a tea, but I asked for water and was not told or given tea with the special. Both my friends had pre-ordered tea.
It was early but my friends asked for chips and salsa and the waitress brought us some with no charge.
After a while of waiting all our orders came out. We had just gotten our plates when another waitress came by to ask if everything was good? My friend did ask for an extra drink when my plate was brought over. But that was the last time the waitress came to our table. My glass of water was empty and I couldn’t flag her down for a refill. My friend got up to have his and his girlfriend’s glass refilled with tea. Not once throughout the time we were eating did our waitress come by to check or ask if we needed anything at all.
We had to flag her twice to get her attention for a to-go plate.
As for the food… It tasted fresh, delicious and there was a very good amount of food for it to have been 6.99. Three pieces of fish like I mentioned earlier with plenty of sides. My friend commented that her beans that came with her order were very good. The flour tortillas looked handmade, fresh and delicious.
My only negative in the review is the attentiveness from our waitress. The restaurant was not packed and clearly not under staffed because besides her there was two other waitresses there. I was generous by giving service 3 stars. She was friendly and nice but lacked at coming over to check on us and ask if we needed anything more throughout the time we were eating or even towards the end to see if we needed to-go boxes.
The positive is the lunch specials are nicely priced and you get a whole lot of food for what they are pricing it at. And the food is good.
My chicken friend steak tasted nasty. I’m sure it was not fresh, more like pre-packeaged.
Same as the fish…it sure wasn’t fresh fish.
And my salad had rice…I honestly think they reused it from an other used plate. My plate had fries…so no rice should be on there. Also my husband’s salad was more like all oinions.
Very disappointed
