Absolutely FABULOUS!! I am duly impressed by the entire eating experience. From the daily specials clearly displayed on a typed sheet on a raised stand as soon as you walk in, to the embroidery on the booths to the traditional painted Mexican murals on the wall….the owners have clearly spared ZERO expense. We are just in town for the day as we are thinking of moving here and we already know that, if we DO move to town, this will be our fave spot. The food is BEYOND incredible. I have been to many many many restaurants in my life, many of which are Mexican all over NYC as I was born and raised there, and none have had such elegance as this. The atmosphere is welcoming without seeming pretentious. We came around 3 pm on a random Thursday. The drinks were generously strong and delish, the food is mouth watering and filling. What gets me is HOWWWW do they manage to keep the prices so affordable??? My gast is fully flabbered, y’all!! I highly highly highly recommend you all go there RIGHT. NOW. Why are you still reading this? GO!! I promise you won’t regret it.

Went there for lunch and throughly enjoyed the food. Chips and salsa were fantastic. We ordered the special rice, which was so yummy. It had their cheese sauce mixed with their rice & it had chicken & bell peppers. We also got a cantina bowl, very filling and healthy. Ended our meal with the churros and loved their presentation. It was warm and soft, not too crispy. It came with whipped cream, chocolate sauce & condensed milk. The restaurant was nice and clean. The lunch menu was very reasonably priced. Also, their menu had tabs with the category of foods. Not many restaurants do that
so that was nice touch. Looking forward to more visits here!

You need to run and check out this place! This is definitely the most authentic full-service Mexican restaurant in town!
We ordered the trompito (tacos al pastor) and we were genuinely impressed by the flavor, and of course – the presentation. Easily feeds two people but make sure you order extra tortillas.
The drinks were also great and they have just about all Mexican lagers on draft. This place is definitely going to be popular!

This didn’t meet our expectations at all. Let’s start with the atmosphere it was wide open with plenty of booths available to seat us yet we weren’t greeted when we first entered and there seemed to be confusion as to where to seat us. Next we finally ordered the texas dip as an appetizer and a taco flight. The meat had no seasoning. Rice and beans were bland. Not even a taste of salt or anything. The salsa verde was somehow without any spice also and when asked for a hotter salsa we were told it would cost an additional $2. We had to ask for onion, cilantro, and lime. The server also made a point to only speak to me in english even though i had asked her a question regarding our order in Spanish but would speak to her colleagues in only Spanish. Overall the presentation of the food was interesting but they left the flavor somewhere in the kitchen and i wont be back or recommend this place to anyone i know.

It’s bright, vibrant, the food was really good, the pricing is very fair, the staff was great so YES, you should try Viva Tacos & Tequila Wichita ASAP. It was a little loud but there were some big groups in there having a good time together. The laughs and smiles outweighed any difficulties for us.
We had the pineapple fajitas so YUP, that’s a pineapple that’s it’s cooked in. We saw other uniquely served items, so we are looking forward to coming back soon!!

The wide open space that exists now is a huge contrast to the old space. The bright colors were great. The service was kind of all over the place.
Due to no break up of the space it was really loud. Music was playing, but it wasn’t overwhelming. There was of course families with screaming kids on top of everything. It was difficult to have a conversation without feeling like we were yelling.
The food was just ok. I was really hoping for something that stood out, but was disappointed. The tequila flights looked like fun, though with their lit up planes they bring them out on.

We had such a great experience at Viva Tacos & Tequila! We ordered the skewers and the chicken nacho platter, and both were absolutely delicious. The portions were amazing — we definitely got our money’s worth — and the flavor was even better than we expected.
Our server Jose G. was so helpful and friendly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. He included my kids when saying thank you for coming in and they loved the fist bumps. The restaurant itself is really nice inside — clean, welcoming, and a great atmosphere to sit and relax.
We ended up with several to-go boxes because the servings were so generous! We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

It was our first visit here, we wanted to try someplace new for lunch. It took a while to get our order in, but the waitress was very nice & polite, apologizing for the wait. First, I loved the chips & salsa! The salsa had a kick, without being too powerful. While the chips weren’t too thin like some places do.
I ordered quesabirria tacos which came out fairly quick, and was a beautiful presentation on a wooden platter with a cute little separate ceramic dish for the rice & beans, but they weren’t hot, they were cool. That was a downer. The tacos were tasty and comparable to other Mexican restaurants.
Overall the atmosphere was appealing for a nice date night, with the heart shaped lights hanging from the ceiling. The restroom was clean and I loved the tile on the walls. It was certainly a step up from the business that used to be at this location. I would definitely go again to try something different on the menu. I’d say the average price for two people would be around 35 without drinks.
