Hello my foodies! So a friend recommended this place and I had to take a look! We went here after work to get some dinner. Since it’s in the Union City, Bergenline area, the parking was impossible, so we had to order it to go. The restaurant was also very small, but nicely done. The workers were super friendly and inviting. The food was a great price for what we ordered and a good portion size. The taste was pretty good. I can’t complain about anything other than no parking! I got the pozole and quesadillas and both were pretty good. Their pozole comes with 2 tostadas, which were very tasty. My friend had the flautas and they give you 5 per order, so that was great for portion. Their green sauce was a little plain, not spicey at all, but good for me if you are not a spicey person! I recommend giving this place a try if you are near by.

Viva is a true neighborhood gem! The flavors are consistent and bright, food always tasty and prices are fair. SO and I are working our way down the menu and have enjoyed our fajitas, enchiladas, tacos and more. Dishes are made fresh, served up quickly and the homemade tortillas are clutch.

WOW. Let me just start with that. I ordered for pickup via Yelp on a Saturday at around 2 pm. I will say that parking is tough in that area so if you can go with another person to have them run down and grab the food, that would probably be best. Seating is limited as the place is very small. There’s maybe 5-6 tables and they were all taken at the time.

The place is perfect. If you want to try authentic Mexican food the service is great even though they are a little busy. sometimes . The only thing I wish that could be better is the space that is available to dine in.

Small place with big flavors! We had tacos and huaraches. Let me tell you the al pastor was so flavorful and you can tell the tortillas was hand made and light with a nice crunch. Most places make the tortilla heavy and dense. We also got some shrimp tacos which were very good as well. Food was very timely and they chips and salsa as well as music videos on the tv while you wait. Also the price wise this place is great value for qhat you get. I usually pay more for Mexican and get inferior quality. All that being said I highly recommend this place. I literally tried this on whim as I was taking the bus and drove by. I said I have to come back and I’m glad I did.

I made a couple of orders over the phone and I went to pickup them up five minutes before the restaurant closing. After I payed the orders and was about to leave the counter, I noticed a lady in the kitchen stirring the rice in the pot with her bare right hand. She was also stirring what appeared to be cabbage in a bowl with her bare right hand. If you have to prepare food with your hands the person should at least wear gloves

OMG I don’t even know what to say about this place really. I don’t know where to start from. Ok, the service is excellent. Clean place and the most important THE FOOD is superb, delicious real comida mexicana. I’ve tried many things from the menu but EL TACO PLACERO….. Chicken Cutlet, Rice, Boiled Egg and the flavor that the Chiles, Onions and Potato gives to this TACO is … delicioso!!!!!
