Vittorio’s Restaurant is a well-established family owned restaurant. It was opened by the namesake himself in 1989 and was born from a passion for his native Italy and everything Italian. Vittorio’s love for good food, fine wine (and football!) manifested itself into a restaurant which combines the very best of authentic Italian cuisine, attentive and friendly service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Family and food are at the heart of what we do. Having recently celebrated our 36th anniversary, we have now entered our third generation of management and are proud to continue serving our customers. We put personal service as one of our main priorities so please do not hesitate to call to discuss your booking.
Cosy, family-run restaurant with rustic decor and a classic menu of regional Italian dishes.

The food was spot on and delicious.
The atmosphere was comforting and relaxing.
Always nice to meet some new family.
Will definitely be coming back again.
Excellent service, knowledgable staff. The meals were perfect, freshly prepared and so tasty. The portion sizes are great, you can even take your leftovers home!
We love this place!
Me and my wife came for a trip to South Wales and wanted to try a local restaurant, and that’s how we came across Virtorio. As we were driving through Newport, I’ll be honest, it didn’t look like much of a location, and the place isn’t in the central part of town.
But the moment I stepped through those doors, I felt transported into a different world — a beautiful Italian setting, classic décor, and warm smiles that greeted us like family.
We saw families celebrating birthdays, tables filled with laughter, and the food… truly something else. The handmade pasta, the authentic pizzas, and for me, the highlight — the tirimsau absolute heaven. Everything was prepared with such care that it felt like dining in Italy itself.
This wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience, and I’m so glad we discovered it. Virtorio is a hidden gem that deserves to be celebrated.
The food was simply delicious. Each dish, from the appetizers to the desserts, was crafted with care and bursting with flavor. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauces were rich and savory. The menu offered a delightful variety of options, ensuring there was something for everyone.
Overall, Vittorio,s is a must-visit for anyone craving high-quality Italian cuisine in a welcoming and beautiful setting. I will definitely be returning soon! They got the best cheesecakes!
The salted caramel cannoli was also unreal
We had the bread and olive oil to start, bread was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with a side of delicious olives.
For starters, I had the Supplí (arancini) and my husband had the king prawns. Mine was delicious with the risotto being moist with a generous amount of cheese in the middle!
My husbands king prawns were cooked beautifully.
For mains, I had the Ragu Di Bologna. The portion size was more than plenty and the taste was the best beyond compare.
My husband had wild boar pasta which was also very delicious with a generous portion.
The garlic bread was sooo garlicky and cheesy!
We couldn’t eat any more to try the desserts but the espresso martini was the best we’ve ever had!
This is going to be our new local for sure. Beautiful family restaurant
