We (5 of us) came here on a Thursday eve for my birthday. I had reserved a table online & we were seated with no wait. We ate rolls & salad which was a great start of the meal. I had ordered the special which was the haddock & the piece covered half my plate. Everybody enjoyed their meals and we were NOT disappointed. The portions were big and we loved taking home some leftovers. I had ordered a slice of lemon cake to take home and it was so delightful, moist and enough for 2 people and definitely will be going back in the near future..

At 430 on Wednesday we were one of two tables. The food was 5 star. Calamari was prefectly fried (not rubber bands) but too much lemon squeezed over. Pasta Rosa was excellent. Alfredo was a bit boring. The deal of the day was 2 chicken parm for 20. The servings were large and everyone loved it. Salads were small but everyone loved the house Italian and my bleu cheese was excellent. Service started poorly but got better quickly. Our server was wonderful. The thing is…it is a relatively small dining room and there was a lot of movement. It felt as though there was no “flow.” I gave me a feeling of disorganization. Go once to give them a try but be forwarned…if you want extra sauce for your chicken parm..it will cost $2. And they have a moronic split plate charge. I find anyone who does that to be horrible at customer satisfaction.

We had dinner at Vittorio’s last night. We both had the salmon special. It was excellent. Pan grilled salmon over creamy risotto topped with a citrus fennel salad and dressed with white balsamic glaze. It was perfectly cooked and the presentation was beautiful. I also saw another customer being served the pork chop special that looked equally impressive. When asked our waitress said there was a new chef. The food quality is usually good but this is a great improvement. Also the new outdoor seating is a very classy bistro style. Nice improvement. Will be back soon!

We had such a great dinner. They had a Valentine’s Day special and it was fabulous. The server said they have a new chef and he was on fire today! We were so pleased.

Wow, as an amature cook, let me say this “disappointing.” We ordered fried pervalone and bruschetta for apps, and both were not good. Bruschetta was served on some sort of a bun that was wet and soggy. The fried cheese tasted like mozzarella, not pervalone it felt like I was chewing a gum that someone else chewed. Basically, it was tasteless. My girl ordered chicken marsala, and I took their version of the chicken franchise. Both dishes had no taste. Mine had more cream than anything when it was supposed to be a simple lemon butter sauce. Marsala was ok, but sauce was for sure not home made there were no flavor ! I love Italian food and I don’t mind paying the price but this is not even close to resembling the base of Italian cooking. Please serve your bruschetta on simple toasted baguette with fresh tomatoes basil for Italians’ sake!

Went for Mothers Day. While the restaurant is nice, as is the owner, everything else has gone down. The prices are much higher then they were before and you get way less food. Used to love Vittorio’s for along time but won’t be back. My Chicken Parm patty was about half in inch thick, but was about 90% breading.

Gave 3 stars because the bread that comes in the basket should be garlic bread. Second I asked if I could have garlic bread as a side since Im not getting the soup or salad. I was told no. Thats pretty ridiculous in my opinion. And I feel if I have a pasta dish then I should have garlic bread. Very disappointing.

Still on my quest to find a Veal Parmigiana on the east side that tops Scotti’s on E185th, so I took the recommendation of a coworker and went to Vittorio’s. Nice local ambiance and friendly staff. The Veal Parm was very good with a crispy coating, but IMHO did not top Scotti’s … though it was much better than several others that I have tried around town.
