We’re SO glad for Vito’s Trattoria! It used to be that our only Italian restaurant choice in the area was Carinos (which is on the same level as Olive Garden to me). But now that Vito’s is in downtown Albany it has become our favorite choice for Italian food, it’s authentic Italian.
From the appetizers to the main course and tiramisu for dessert, I have NOT been disappointed. I highly recommend the Mushroom Ravioli, or the Butternut Squash Ravioli, (I had the latter tonight-pictured) It’s served in a sherry-cream sauce that is just delicious! My husband (who is very particular) loved the lasagna, especially because they gave plenty of sauce with it. We usually get a house salad to split, which is also very good. Also, their prices are pretty average for eating out–not break the bank cost.
I highly recommend Vito’s Trattoria in downtown Albany.

Super cute restaurant. Our server was friendly and quick. Ordered a grapefruit martini and it was wonderful. Salad trio was a great app to split. Main courses were tasty. I ordered the pasta with muscles, and my son had the spaghetti and meatballs. Bread was also great.

Here is an updated review from a delightful dining experience enjoyed by our party of three at Vito’s Trattoria. The service was top rate and the food was tasty, plentiful and served in a timely manner. My Butternut Squash Ravioli was a pallet pleaser. My dining companions praised their Manicotti and Molte Carne entrees. Creme brulee and tiramisu finished off the night on a high. The wait staff were courteous and prompt and the atmosphere relaxing with a nice vibe. Of special note, I found their prices more than reasonable. We will be back

Excellent food and service. I was hoping to try their eggplant parmigian, but they had just run out, it was 8 pm on a busy Friday night and they close at 9 pm. They were also out of clams. So make sure you get here early! We instead ordered the salmon and the chicken marsala. Both were delicious, as was the ample Trio Salad that we split between the two of us. They supply each table with yummy freshly baked focaccia bread they make in house–we wolfed down our basket of it and asked for more–and wolfed that down too! The service was attentive and friendly. There was plenty of free nearby street parking. It’s located in the heart of the charming old town of Albany.

Last night we took our daughter out for her Birthday. My daughter and I got Chicken Parmesan. We think the cook cremated the chicken, hard, dried up. Needless to say very disappointed since Vito’s is rated high quality, and that is not what we received. Also we went at 4:00 and they were not busy at all only one other customer at the bar. There were alot of grub hub and call in orders. My husbands order was okay as he put it you saw alittle sausage in the sausage bake my brother in laws steak sandwich was good. Not sure if we want to pay high price for what we received, very disappointing.

Delicious meal and wonderful service! Attentive and checked back a few times… we were close to door so was a tad cold (wore our coats) but the weather was changing/ cold and front door was busy as people were coming in and out. I had fettuccine and it was divine! Prices are not cheap but the meal was worth every cent. Loved the bread with vinegar/ oil dipping. A great place to talk- not too loud.

This was a great anniversary dinner. Quiet-ish dining experience nice low amount of chit chat doesn’t feel too stuffy but definitely feels fancier than just a restaurant. Food was wonderful very flavorful.

The restaurant is very cute , and the food and drinks were great. I had only one issue and that was our server. Tall , skinny and zero personality. After we were seated and had gotten our drinks, and bread. She didn’t check on us until everybody’s drinks were empty and we were all wondering if we needed to ask for help. But the food was fantastic, so I will be going again. Poor service though.

I left before anything came out because I was there for an hour and still no food. The other people in my group that stayed waited almost another 45 minutes to get their meals. The host and waitress were both great though.
As much as I love supporting local businesses, being forced to wait almost two hours for food is just disrespectful. Especially when there is only maybe 10 tables to serve. I won’t be back.
