Although we tried to be patient and understanding, it quickly became clear that service was extremely slow. We had arrived before rush hour and were seated immediately, so when it came to anything food-related arriving at our table, we were surprised by the delays. The bread took about 20 minutes to arrive after we were seated. Our appetizers took over 30 minutes, and we did not receive our entrées until around 5:45 pm.
As the restaurant became busier, we noticed that guests who arrived during rush hour were being greeted warmly and appeared to be served much more quickly, which made the situation even more confusing.
At one point, I overheard our waitress asking the kitchen about our order, which made us feel as though it may have been forgotten. The overall pacing of the service felt disorganized and inattentive. I have dined here before with a friend and received noticeably better service, so this was unexpected.
The most disappointing part of the evening was the $50 steak my fiancé ordered. Unfortunately, much of it consisted of fat and was largely inedible. He was only able to eat about half, if that. For the price, the quality did not meet expectations.
After we finished what we could eat, the staff quickly asked if we needed boxes. Another employee (not our server) asked if everything was okay, and a third person brought us the check. It felt as though our server was avoiding addressing the issue directly.
We considered mentioning our concerns but ultimately chose to leave due to the overall discomfort of the experience. We paid in full, including a tip, and left feeling disappointed.
If the restaurant owner is reading this, I sincerely hope there is a greater emphasis on serving and treating all guests equally. It was uncomfortable to feel that three different staff members were aware something was wrong yet no one directly addressed it. Some additional training on checking in with guests, initiating strong customer service, and offering solutions when issues arise would make a significant difference.
We had hoped for a special Valentine’s dinner, but unfortunately, the service, wait times, and food quality did not reflect the experience we expected.
No complaints, it was amazing from the wait time to the portion sizes to the desert. I’m impressed.
Super friendly, quick, good food. The current situation only allows take out but wow, there is so much food! And it comes out super hot so the food isn’t cold by the time you eat!
You can’t go wrong.
