Absolutely loved my first experience at Vito’s Pizza Shop! I tried their hot honey pepperoni pizza, and it was out-of-this-world delicious. The combination of the sweet and slightly spicy hot honey with the savory pepperoni and perfectly cooked crust was great!

We ordered from here after just wanting to try a new pizza restaurant in the area. At first bite, you could tell all the ingredients were fresh and actually taste homemade. The sauce tastes authentic, the cheese, traditional pepperonis and even the dough itself. Definitely recommend! The only thing to note, is there isn’t really much indoor space to dine in. However, there is plenty of outside dining and great to grab food to go as well. Awesome place to check out!

Talk about a hidden gem! I had no idea this place even existed until last week! We ordered the meatball marinara pizza which comes with extra large dollops of ricotta cheese, fresh basil and huge pieces of yummy meatballs all surrounded by fresh mozzarella and a delightful garlic crust! We also ordered the New Yorker Porker. Y’all….this pizza comes with pepperoni cups, crumbled sausage, ham and bacon! We opted to have it made on garlic crust as well! Check out the picture of this pizza! The crust was so buttery and perfectly garlicky. And the bacon!!!!!!! The bacon slices are legit! The Little Italy salad was clearly made with fresh veggies and freshly grated mozzarella cheese on top! Add the balsamic vinaigrette to this salad and you will LOVE it! If you haven’t tried this place yet, you need to! They are only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday! They have specials listed on their website also!

Wow. Visiting from Georgia. Originally from New York. This is by far the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. People can claim New York style pizza all day and I know it’s not but this pizza here takes the W. Brought me back to New York for a minute. Cool place. Easy to order. Great communication. My dad is from Pittsburgh and I grew up having good pizza. We’ve lived in Charlotte for 28+ years trying every pizza place imaginable. If we found one place, they would change their recipe and we would move on our search. I don’t mind paying for good food and sometimes Charlotte food is pricey for no reason.
We found Vito’s right down the road from us and gave it a shot. The prices are very reasonable and honestly this has to be the best pizza I’ve had in the Charlotte area and it’s the closest to pizza up north.
Don’t get me started on places that coat their dough with tons corn meal flour, which to me ruins the mouth feel and dries out the pizza.
Or places that try to cover up cheap and rushed tomato sauce with sugar to tone down the acidity of the tomatoes; they aren’t foolin anyone, especially an Italian.
Vito’s crust is the perfect combo of crispy on the outside but the chew is perfect with no corn meal in sight! (I make bread so I appreciate the gluten development that can only come from someone who knows their stuff).
Their sauce is flavorful and you can tell they care about it, it’s not acidic or unnaturally sweet. Their Maria’s Margherita pizza had thick slices of good mozzarella too! Absolutely shocked that I’ve paid more than they charge else where and not even gotten close to what Vito’s serves. Calzones use the same ingredients, again, all phenomenal.
I hands down recommend this place, and hope we support good local business to keep them thriving. This was after my first time, but will update my review if anything changes as this is now going to be my semi-weekly pizza joint!

Delicious pizza! Crust was perfect, had a great crunch but not over cooked. The toppings were quality & a great ratio to the pizza. Generous size slices and not overly greasy. Will be ordering again!

Has an urge for good pizza and found this place. Staff was nice, faculty was clean, and tho pizza was great. The sauce and crust had a night savory/sweet thing going on, and the pepperoni was thicker than others. Solid choice for pizza. If they were on the One Bite app, I’d rate them a solid 8.1.

Delicious New York Style Pizza. We ordered the Top Cat, Hawaiian and White Spinach and all were amazing! The pizzas were very large and we had no problems feeding our 4 children and friends.
