Staff helped explain the menu and top suggestions as we were dinning in for the first time. Clean. Food was served hot. Great wine. Celebration of two birthdays and each received a dessert. Will return, enjoyable evening.

Vito’s is near our home and we had a small wedding last year, with everything going to Vito’s after, so we made it a point to come in around our anniversary. The portions are generous and the food is delicious. Highly recommend.

We ordered a large BBQ pizza, a side of minestrone soup and a drink. The food was mediocre. The BBQ was a little sour, and the chicken was dry, but it wasn’t bad. My soup was also on the salty side, and it was served to me spilled over. Our service was poor. We didn’t have the chance to browse the dessert menu because the check had already arrived at our table. When I had finished my drink earlier, she had asked me, “Do you want another drink or something?” while already moving to another table. I liked the atmosphere and the Halloween decor. Overall, we likely won’t be back.

Got the chicken parmesan lunch special with rosemary potatoes for $14. The cutlets needed a bit more cheese and sauce, but otherwise were very great. No takeout parking in crowded lot though is unfortunate.

We met our son and his girlfriend for a late lunch this week and had a great experience. I was pleased to see how nice it was inside. They offer a full bar, have both indoor and outdoor seating. The place was pretty spacious and you dont feel crammed together. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We never had to ask for anything. We came to try the pizza and it did not disappoint. I really love that they place a rack under the pizza so it doesn’t cook and get soggy on the tray. It was crisp, flavorful and filling . My son loves the buffalo chicken pizza. We also ordered the all you can eat soup and salad, and an individual pepperoni, sausage and black olive pizza. I opted for the garden salad because I heard the Caesar isn’t the best. I tried both the minestrone and the potato soup which were both offered that day for the all you can eat. Both were so good. If I had to choose I’d pick the potato as my favorite, but both were delicious. The potato soup was creamy and full of flavor. Good chunks of potato but not too much. We were so full, but couldn’t pass up the strawberry cheesecake. It was huge and enough to share. It was very good. We are already talking about coming back to try the pasta and check out the other locations. Great stop.

I would have given Vito’s a 5 again, because the service, food and atmosphere have always rated good or great with Kathi and me. But yesterday I just ordered it two large pizzas, with pesto sauce, cheese and their house-made Italian Sausage. But when I got them home and we dug in, both were pesto sauce, cheese, and salami? They were good, but simply not what we desired. Since I just picked up their pizza yesterday, I can’t rate their service for yesterday, but we have been there many times before, and the appetizers, meals, drinks, desserts and and service have always been excellent!

I ordered the Linguine pescatore and the menu said scallops were in the dish along with muscles, clams and salmon. The scallops were a joke! They were pea-size and only a few. Not much seafood even though the pasta and sauce were good.
Chef suggestion: drop the scallops from the description, you are not fooling anybody!!!
Limited dinner menu and everything a la cart.
Always friendly service entering and leaving. Waitress was okay for being so busy.
Stick to the basics: pasta, lasagna and pizza and you’re safe. Those are all good!

Oh my goodness, Vito’s was fantastic! We stopped in almost a month ago for an early Saturday dinner. Our first impression was “uh oh, we are totally underdressed”, walking in wearing shorts, spandex, and t-shirts. The young gentleman at the door started laughing with us, saying we were fine. Thank heavens because we really wanted good Italian! (Our last Italian restaurant was horrid.)
The decor was crisp and clean. We beat the dinner rush & we were seated w/o any waiting. Our server came over immediately w/ our water, returned a couple minutes later to take our drink & appetizer order. The cocktails were delicious concoctions, as was the mozzarella alla caprese; it was cold, fresh, and a plateful of perfection.
Our meals consisted of lobster ravioli, pesto gnocchi, and seafood au gratin w/ a side of garlic bread. I am kicking myself for not remembering our server’s name because he deserves kudos. He was prompt and courteous – he joked with us when I pronounced gnocchi correctly (thanks to Google!). He helped make our even fun w/ his friendly bantering.
The meals were divine: hot, very flavorful, and a large portion. Although none of us finished our meal, we opted for three different desserts: baked cookie, bread pudding (NO RAISINS!), and tiramisu. I admit to not being overly impressed with the bread pudding, but I am very picky when it comes to the dish. The baked cookie and tiramisu were scrumptious; I would order either one of them again.
We live in Laveen; the 36 mile drive was worth every minute and every single gallon of gas. We will happily make that drive again. Vito’s is a great place and there are plenty more dishes to try. Thank you, Vito’s, for your ambience and wonderful food!

1st time at this Gilbert location. It isn’t as intimate as the other locations in Mesa and Scottsdale but still great food and service. Love their pizza, chicken marsala and try a different appetizer or soup every time we come.

Hubby and I went to Vito’s for lunch. Some of the reviews were not nice, but hubby figured we would try for ourselves. Those reviews are incorrect! Everything we had was delicious. Our waiter, Nicholas, was excellent. The garlic knots were yummy, but even better with the sea salt I put on mine. A little too garlicky for me, but hubby loved them. My baked ziti with the meatballs were excellent. Hubby said his chicken club sandwich was delicious. We ordered bread pudding for dessert. Delicious, but too chocolatey for me. Wheelchair friendly.
