Stopped in this neighborhood deli based on the stellar reviews. If anything, I think the reviews undersell the food. Wife and I split The Pete and an BLT salad and every morsel was fresh and delicious. Staff were friendly and everything was spotless. Will go back.

This place is great! We’ve tried it twice since we moved back to the area. This place is only a 10 minute walk from our house, and that’s so cool to me. It’s awesome to see a locally-owned restaurant that you can walk or bike to, it seems like everything nowadays is so car-dependent.
The atmosphere is nothing fancy, a very small space with some outdoor patio tables. However, the service is great. Both times I’ve been, they’ve asked how my days been and even thrown in some free items to sample. It’s awesome to actually feel welcomed in an establishment.
The sandwiches are great, they use the bread from Vitale’s Bakery (they are owned by the same family). I’ve tried the Crazy Frank (okay, not my favorite), Glendale Club (good, basic), The Steve Pastrami (really good), and The Charlie Roast Beef (excellent au jus).
My only complaint is that the sandwiches are pretty bread heavy, but I just pick the bread out. Come early in the day, they sell out a ton and close early sometimes! Get a cannoli if you can, they’re great!

Got lunch with my 7 year old son today, and everything was wonderful! Sandwiches were great (ham sandwich for the boy and I had the Glendale Club…why aren’t more delis topping sandwiches with BLT salad?!), service was attentive and super friendly. My son was wearing a Mario hat, and we had a great conversation with the staff about video games. Highly recommend!

This is one of the if not best sandwich shops around. The owner is funny and sells with a smile always. I always try and get a crazy frank at least once a month when I have free time. Never been disappointed with the service or the food. I highly recommend this place to anyone anytime they are super friendly and quick service. Bread is nice and fresh and same with the pasta salad. Always trying to upsell cannolis when they have them in.

Got the Annie sandwich first loved so much I had to go back in and get the top recommend sandwich. The house made cajun mayo on the Annie was delicious and the homemade Italian dressing on the Pete is BEYOND compare! Definitely will be back the the owner was extremely friendly!!

I was looking for a deli in the area and Vitale’s did not disappoint. The owner made me feel like we’ve known each other for years. His staff was extremely courteous. I tried the Pete. It was a well balanced sandwich. The only thing I would’ve had was mustard. I highly recommend you stop by and support a great local business.
