I spent nearly $200 ordering BBQ through Uber Eats, and the food arrived smelling sour and old. The mac and cheese was completely broken down and mushy, with no intact noodles more like baby food than pasta. The pulled pork was also mushy, pasty, and overly shredded, lacking any texture or freshness and emitting a strong unpleasant odor. The ribs were stiff and clearly not fresh.
The brisket was especially unacceptable. I paid nearly $40 for what was advertised as one pound, and the portion was significantly smaller. The meat was shredded, burnt, extremely hard and dry, texture, clearly old and improperly handled. The coleslaw smelled like spoiled milk and was immediately concerning.
When I contacted the restaurant to report that the food appeared mishandled and unsafe, I was dismissed and brushed off. The manager, Rick, was defensive and argumentative, blamed both Uber Eats and me, and refused to take responsibility. No apology was offered, and no effort was made to make things right.
I was treated terribly from the moment I contacted the restaurant about my order. I clearly explained that this was a food quality and safety issue, not an Uber Eats delivery issue. While I was speaking, the manager, Rick, repeatedly cut me off, told me to be quiet, and said he was talking. He showed no interest in listening or even acknowledging my concerns.
The interaction became even more uncomfortable when he told me, in a threatening and intimidating manner, to “come see him” and said he is there every day and I could say whatever I needed to say in front of him. That behavior is completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
Dismissing food safety concerns, disrespecting a customer, and responding with intimidation shows a complete lack of ethics and professionalism. This was my first and last experience with this establishment. Please be cautious and try other bbq places that handle customers and food with exceptionally better care and integrity regarding food safety.
I placed an Uber Eats order for a spicy chicken sandwich, a 1/2 rack of ribs, and chicken wings. The app said the order would be ready at 6:58 PM. I walked in exactly at that time and the app even showed it was ready… but it definitely wasn’t.
When I walked in, the guy behind the bar yelled over to me that pickup was “down the hallway.” I went back, there was no bag in the window, just multiple signs telling customers to go back to the lobby if their order wasn’t ready. So I went back to the lobby and stood there until someone finally came out about four minutes later to ask my name. I didn’t leave with my food until 7:10 — twelve minutes past pickup time, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy (maybe five tables and a few people at the bar).
When we got home and opened everything, it just got worse.
My spicy chicken sandwich smelled burnt and oily, and the chicken had a weird flat “flap” on it. The sandwich was soggy and completely plain — no Special Sauce, no pickles, no jalapeños, no spicy pimento cheese. Just a sad, soggy, overcooked piece of chicken. It was genuinely inedible.
My husband’s ribs were the only decent part of the order. The wings, which were supposed to be “sweet and sassy,” were extremely dry and had no flavor at all.
Overall, this was super disappointing. Maybe others have had better luck, but based on this experience, I highly do NOT recommend Vision BBQ. Not worth the time, money, or frustration.
Good service and good beer!
You know it’s a good BBQ place when you see large smokers and grills at the front door .
The wings are so delicious! Best wings I’ve ever had..
Highly Recommended!
The staff was very friendly with prompt service. The location felt convenient and the building atmosphere was relaxing with a nice open layout, good for kids. They even had Chick-Tac-Toe, which my daughter had fun playing.
The food experience for everyone was great. I had the brisket and pulled pork; the brisket was amazing and on point with flavor, the pulled pork was good, but a bit salty. There were a wide variety of sides, all were very good but the potato salad was my favorite. Finally, top it all off with the sauce sampler if you can’t decide on a sauce, it’s hard to beat traditional…unless you try the sweet & sassy!
Needless to say this place was amazing, to the point we got a half-pound of brisket to-go. We’ll definitely be coming back here again next time we visit, thanks Vision.
