Gem of a place! Best beef with broccoli I’ve had in Portland. Order the glass noodle salad with chicken and fish sauce almost weekly. Great salad rolls and banh mi also!!

I’ve tried the grilled beef banh mi, grilled pork banh mi, and Nha Trang wings. All are delicious! Good prices… Bahn mi is large and the baguette has that ideal crispness to the crust. Great pickled carrots and daikon… nice raw jalapeño heat. Best bahn mi I’ve had in the Portland area, and probably the best price too. Friendly and prompt service. Eat in the bar, at outdoor tables, or take away. Give this place some love!

We had come for a different food cart but they weren’t open yet so we decided to try Vi’s Sandwich, which ended up being such a happy accident! Everything was really well balanced and they’re generous with the portions. Also, it’s hard to make spam musubi stand out, but whatever sauce they use is delicious and the texture of the spam was crispy but not too crispy. We haven’t been to the Flipside carts much in the past but now that we know about Vi’s, we’ll be back more often!
