We put in a online order to get Jerk Chicken and Ribs combo. When I arrived the cashier greeted Me friendly. The decor was nice with a lot of Recognition from the community papers. There is plenty of dining seats. The bathroom was clean. The pickup went pretty easy. There is plenty of parking because it’s in a shopping center. The food was delicious.

This place has earned a spot in my local favorites list! Host/Cashier was a very nice young lady. She had patience for us which I was so thankful for since we mentioned we’d never been before. After we ordered and paid, we sat down at a table and waited. Time was very respectable and she brought the plates out to us. Oh my goodness y’all. When I tell you everything on that plate was delicious, it was absolutely Dee-lish-ouuss! Seasoning was the right amount, everything was nice and hot, and portion size had me very happy. Such a pleasant experience here. It was also very nice to see and read articles on the wall of the chef and his framed pieces of history. I love when local businesses show how proud they are of their accomplishments. And this man definitely SHOULD BE with the dishes he’s making here.
If you’re on this side of town, make it a point to try this place for sure!

My sisters came into town for the Christmas holiday, and wanted to try a VI restaurant because we are from St. Thomas but live on the main line. After driving an hour to get to the location, we were disappointed after spending over $100 collectively. One of our orders was barbecue chicken, peas, and rice with plantain, The barbecue chicken was dry and it seemed like the barbecue sauce was placed over the chicken and baked over the peas and rice was very salty. The plantains were cooked very soft and mushy. we also ordered a salad, macaroni and cheese, the portion size was very insulting along with the macaroni being sweet. We were all dissatisfied especially for the price.

After seeing this spot on social media for some time now, since being in the the area for the Thanksgiving weekend I stopped by. It was definitely worth the drive. Felt like I was eating a plate from home. Will be back again when I am in the area.

This was my first time at Virgin Island Thyme and I was not disappointed! The ribs, tacos and the plantains were great! Though, the fried foods fell short. They had a weird grease taste about them. The staff was helpful and friendly. Overall, good experience!

Food was horrible! Not authentic Virgin Islands cuisine. Purchased oxtails and Salmon both were horrible. Oxtail was tough and needed to be cooked more. Would not recommended!

We have visited Island Thyme twice now and we were pleased with our meals on both occasions. The first time we dined in, the food was brought to us extremely fast, and the service was friendly. The Chef also checked in on us while we dined. The second time I called in our order ahead, and it was ready at the promised time. So far, we have tried the oxtail macaroni and cheese, oxtail rice bowl, coconut shrimp, Magens Bay fried shrimp, collards, rice and beans, salad, and conch fritters. The portion sizes are very generous as well. We look forward to returning.
