Everything I ordered was good. The fish was especially fresh. It tasted clean and not fishy at all.
I liked the sauces on top of the sushi. They weren’t too heavy and added nice flavor. The lightly torched pieces had a subtle smoky taste that made them even better.
My order was ready right on time for pickup, so there was no waiting. The restaurant was also very clean.
I’d definitely come back again!!

Got Uber eats takeout and the sushi was surprisingly fresh, varied, and delicious. They did have a lot of the typical salmon, but they spiced it up a bit with some different toppings, and I found the California roll to actually be really good and not just a boring filler. They even had torched fish and fresh sweet shrimp. Somehow a 60pc set managed to fill 3 of us so this is a good value!

Unfortunately this was the second time I have ordered from here which used to be a great hit for me and once again got disappointed.
New chef(the guy) wears no gloves, he touches everything such as the cashiers pos, answering the phone, his cellphone, torching cans, sauce jugs and then he jumps to cutting fish and avocado with the same single chef knife. Hygiene is undefined for him ↕️
On the other hand , the girl who works there wear gloves, removes them upon answering the phone or touching the POS.
All these observations were done during rush hour and over a 40 mins waiting for my order to get ready.

Very good sushi, big portions, rolls are huge. Our go to is the white dragon roll with scallop. We tried their other rolls but none compare to that one.

This North York sushi spot is known for its large rolls, and the menu contains a good selection of appetizers and side dishes as well. The chipotle sauce is a nice complement to the soy sauce, and the rolls are nicely flavoured without being overpowering in taste. Great for takeout and service is generally quick – definitely worth checking out for your next sushi fix!

Sushi used to taste better under previous management. I still visited after the change, but the quality has declined. The sushi chef seems more concerned with his hair than with basic hygiene, making it hard to enjoy a meal.

Favorites: all the rolls. The place is small but it doesn’t matter because their flavours are big! Great range of rolls and the food is fresh. We’ve come 2 times now and they have impressed us. Compared to the other sushi places in the area, these guys can easily compete with them. While we were there, it was a continuous flow of takeout happening. This is definitely a place to visit.

My review is based on my first experience today. I happened to walk by and decided last minute to order the Black Dragon Roll. In one of my previous reviews, I ordered the same item at Sushi One and dined in. That was a mediocre experience. Today’s Black Dragon Roll here was ginormous, fresh, had a really good taste and the unagi (eel) tasted so much better here. I waited around 10-15 minutes only for my one item order. This place has no seating – takeout or delivery only. Highly recommend. The photos speak for themselves!!! The price is the same as Sushi One. I would therefore rather eat from VIPS Sushi.

Ordered takeout from them for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the value! We got the small party tray, everything was so fresh and there was definitely bang for your buck. Highly recommend and will definitely order from them again.
