They had a great lunch special – two courses for $29. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. Plan on getting dessert, they have some of the best baklava we’re ever had and the Sokolatopita (chocolate cake with chocolate coffee custard) is amazing!
Definitely looking forward to trying them for dinner.
We loved the breads and spreads, the spanakopita, saganaki, and tuna tartare. Our mains were outstanding, from the tender beef souvlaki to the flavorful Australian lamb chops. The star for me was the deconstructed pastitsio with short rib ragù and truffle—ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!
Desserts were fantastic, especially the rich sokolatopita for chocolate lovers, and the surprisingly delicious orange syrup cake.
Our server, Oscar V., was wonderful, and hats off to Executive Chef Joshua North. We enjoyed it so much that we went back just a few days later. Violí is a phenomenal new addition to the Naples dining scene!
The food is outstanding. Authentic Greek flavours are the foundation here, with just enough creative twists to keep things interesting. From what you see across social media — and what we tasted ourselves — people can’t get enough of the grilled octopus, handmade dips, fresh seafood, spanakopita variations, lamb dishes, and their modern takes on classic meze. Everything comes out looking gorgeous, and the flavours match the presentation.
What really stands out is how fresh and clean the dishes taste. Even when they play with the classics, it never feels overdone — just thoughtful, elevated Greek cuisine with respect for tradition.
Service has that polished-but-welcoming vibe, and the whole experience feels like a night out in Mykonos without leaving Naples.
Violi is a must-visit at Mercato — fantastic food, great atmosphere, and one of the most consistently enjoyable dining spots in the area.
All dishes we ordered were absolutely outstanding. Our starter, calamari, was incredibly delicious and the seafood pasta was truly phenomenal. The portions were very generous, and the dessert was the perfect finish. It was well worth the wait. Highly recommend for the great atmosphere and excellent management. We will definitely be back!
We had an amazing experience, and a huge part of that was our server, Greg. He was absolutely phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome from start to finish. He knew the menu well, gave great recommendations, and checked on us at all the right times without ever being overbearing. His positive attitude truly elevated our entire dining experience. Service like his is hard to find these days. We’ll definitely be back, and we hope to have Greg as our server again!
Recently opened and curious to try. Greek food not many choices in Naples. Reservations are a must, especially on the weekend.
Decor and ambiance are top notch. The owners went out of their way to create a beautiful dining space. Wait staff is are friendly, and take the time to explain dishes. Overall a very nice dining experience. Impressive wine list.
In my opinion the best Greek restaurant in Naples and probably the best dining experience in Mercato.
Our party of 4 was lucky enough to get a reservation on opening night. We were seated at what I consider the best table in the restaurant… the “J booth” which is a comfortable J shaped booth in the corner of the bar, where you can see all the goings-on in both the bar and the main dining room. Whoever designed this booth is a genius!
The atmosphere is beautiful and classy, with pink flowers covering the ceiling and a mix of tables and booths in the main dining area, and a large rectangular bar and some high top tables in the lounge area.
There is a happy hour from 3-6pm, and given we could only get a 5:15 resv we were able to partake in it. From the HH menu we tried the old fashioned and the vodka martini. Both were good but if you want to make any tweaks to the cocktails be aware that some are pre-batched so it’s not possible to make changes. From the HH food menu we had:
– Saganakj which was set aflame table side and was tangy and tasty 4*
– Charred eggplant dip aka baba ganoush which was smoky and smooth, served with a thick pita bread and veggie crudite 5*
– Spanakopita was some of the best I’ve had, flaky filo on the outside and perfectly seasoned spinach/feta filling 5*
– Fried zucchini and eggplant which was thinly sliced and not too oily 4*
For main courses from the regular dinner menu we had the lamb chops which were perfectly cooked and tender, and the linguini and clams – both 5*.
Our server Wila was professional and polished, and her friendly personality and excellent service made our experience even better. Service execution and food quality was flawless, especially given it was opening night.
The owner/manager stopped by to introduce himself and check on our table, which was a nice gesture that shows they care about their customers.
We will definitely be back often. Highly recommend!
