Only reason I took a star off for atmosphere is because it was really cold inside – I had to keep my coat on the entire time.
First, the quality of the food was disappointing. The steak didn’t seem like a very good cut, and the salad was overly salty. Overall, most of the dishes were just okay and didn’t really stand out. The only dish we really enjoyed was the scallops — good portion and great flavor.
The service was also not great. Empty plates stayed on the table for a long time and weren’t cleared, and no one really checked in to ask how the food was or if we needed anything.
Another issue was the restroom — the toilet handle was broken and wouldn’t flush, which is something that should definitely be fixed in a restaurant.
The atmosphere also didn’t really match the prices on the menu. For that price point, you expect a higher level of food quality and service.
Overall, the restaurant was a bit disappointing. I hope this feedback helps the restaurant improve.
Edit: tried it again. Still amazing. This time tried the pork belly and the black berry sauce is outright genius.
The service was very amiable. Our server was super friendly, and everything came out in a timely manner. At $80 per person, this place is a hidden gem in Seattle.
