Before I talk about the food let me just tell you, Phil is one of the best serves I’ve ever had in all my years of dining. Super nice and easy to talk to. The food was hands down the best I’ve had in a long time. The focaccia was great. The calamari was phenomenal. The pasta special, I’d eat daily.

An absolutely outstanding dining experience! From the moment we walked into Viola Cucina, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The atmosphere is inviting and full of charm, and you can feel the passion behind everything they do.
Every dish we ordered was perfection. The pasta bolognese featured soft, freshly made pasta with a rich, flavorful sauce that tasted like true Italian comfort. The salmon was one of the best I’ve had in years, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The chicken thighs were unique and expertly prepared, showing real creativity in the kitchen.
We finished with dessert: an espresso, luscious tiramisu, Viola’s own carrot cake recipe, and creamy ice cream. All were outstanding.
It takes a lot of hard work and heart to deliver excellence at every level—food, service, and atmosphere—but Viola Cucina does it effortlessly. What an extraordinary experience from start to finish. We can’t wait to return! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely wonderful establishment! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, cozy and welcoming. Amazing smells from the kitchen and everyone hard at work, giving customers top notch service. As a solo diner, I sat at the bar with Ali, she whipped me up one of her nightly specials, blood orange margaritas and it was Devine! – coming from someone who has had a margarita or two. She answered any question I had but I noticed she also gave everyone attention at the bar and provided fast service. The food, AMAZING. House made focaccia, Cesar salad, house made gnocchi, added bolognese and the lemon and basil ricotta cheese. I finished my night with an espresso martini and a house made carrot cake. I could have stayed all night! Highly recommend to anyone seeking quality food and service. Wonderful gem in Barrington.
