It is so rare to find a restaurant in the north that does southern food well but Violas does!! I would definitely call this a hidden gem. I’m from Alabama and this food was perfection! We had the Beignets, fried green tomatoes and a platter of southern sides. All were SOO good! Will make the trip back just for this restaurant.

Stopped in on a whim and exceeded our expectations! The owner took his time to talk to every guest showing he truly cares about the community. Best pancakes I’ve ever had, and don’t sleep on their fried green tomatoes! Will be back if ever in the area again!

If you’re looking for a little café with a Southern / Cajun flair, this is the spot. The warm, cozy atmosphere makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which only adds to the charm.
You can tell the owners take real pride in every dish they serve — and in the entire dining experience for their guests. From the flavors to the hospitality, everything feels thoughtful and made with care.
A wonderful place to relax, enjoy great food, and feel welcomed every time. Highly recommend!

We had a delicious breakfast and great time at Viola’s! It was a very nice and comfortable corner cafe. Alongside your typical breakfast food and sandwiches, we also enjoyed some excellent beignets, biscuits, and hash browns. The cold brew coffee was a great addition to the meal. Family friendly and clean restrooms too. Thank you!

Food was excellent, had two eggs over medium with what toast and veggie sausage. Excellent!! The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the blueberry pancakes. They came out looking beautiful and fluffy. In reality we had to use a knife to cut and the pancake itself was very very dense. I happen to prefer fluffier and more tender pancakes with more blueberries than what they served to us.

Stopped in for a delicious, Southern-tinged lunch at Viola Cafe. I had brisket and 2 sides (jalapeño corn slaw & potato salad). All were terrific, especially with the house-made BBQ sauce. My lunch companions had biscuits and gravy and gumbo, which they loved. Fantastic cold brew coffee, too. Co-owner Scott was so friendly and explained the origin of many of the items on the menu. The whole staff was great. Highly recommended.

Great addition to Harbor Country. Everyone is so nice here. Wendy is the best server, the owner Anthony feels like an old friend. Don’t miss the Banana Pudding desert!

Menu seems kinda limited. Food flavor was average and served warm. (Not, hot)
Order of toast is only 1 slice.
