edit – 2023.07.20 – Great pizza (again), great steak and cheese’s, fish sandwich was too salty and the eggplant dish on the menu was a little bit sparse.

Love potion gone wrong
Was excited to see another Vinny’s this far from Harrisonburg as we have always lived their service and food. We were hopeful that it would be similar, and sadly, it was not. We had a calzone that was overly salty to the point we left half of it, and my chicken sandwich came with one slice of bacon for the entire sandwich? I understand bacon is pricey, but I don’t know if I have ever been anywhere and only had one slice on an entire sandwich. Our server was also not very attentive. She refilled one of our drinks one time and never came back until another server had already run for our check. Never introduced herself, asked us for a box, or asked if our food was prepared correctly. Very poorly trained and mannered. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go here unless, as a last resort, your money would be better spent next door at Subway.

Been going there for take out for years, they have always had great pizza, and we have always ordered all pepperoni and 1/4 onion, called today and was absolutely refused by staff, so Off to George’s pizza it is!!!

I have been to this Vinny’s restaurant many times and they never disappoint. My favorite dish here is the cheese steak salad. That’s right skip the bread and put deliciousness on a salad! This trip I had the cheese steak sub with fries and it was great. I will be back.

Great pizza. Service was eh but on a slow Sunday I imagine no on wanted to be there anyway. Been here a few times and the food was always extremely fresh. Anyone who knows food will be able to tell the difference.

I grab a pizza here at least two times a month sometimes more but that is all I will get these days. Wings are way overpriced, calzone had little filling, no ricotta, and was not worth the price. It was like a pizza dough mozzarella stick with a couple small pieces of ham and pepperoni. Lately everything has gotten more expensive anywhere you go but after taking that into consideration even the pizza has lost its value to price ratio standing in the neighborhood. They cut back on toppings but charge more for them. the quality is slipping, I’m not sure if it’s the ingredients but the cost has gone up on the basic pie. I loved this place, even made a few friendly suggestions, then had to call about the lack of toppings and quality of the pie. Try it out maybe it will be better for you but having gone here for years it seems as if they are just price gouging now. If you don’t believe me, buy a bag of hot wings at giant, cook them look at the cost(include gas usage and electric usage if you wish like a restaurant does) then order 12 wings at Vinny’s and don’t have a heart attack from sticker shock. Unless they had a unicorn bless them the price is way too high. you get way better value from giant even already cooked hot wings from giant, than Vinny’s. Then look at the other items and cringe at their prices. Did you all get huge raises the past two years? If so eat here. If not Try Scaffas or Brothers pizza you will save money and get better quality these days. I hope Vinny’s finds its way back to reality I miss it.

A nice little tucked away spot on a busy street. Reminds me of the kind of Italian Restaurant you would see a gangster in. I mean that statement in a good way because gangsters dont go hungry. The service is wonderful. The food is outstanding!!! Atmosphere well I loved it. Yes, I will definitely be back and have already made some takeout orders since our visit.

I was in the Rt 17 restaurant. Dirty interior. Flies all around my food. A half dozen landed on my pasta and my soup. Place gets worse. Dog will enjoy my meal.

Ordered a cheese pizza with onions and it was saturated with nearly two onions worth of sliced yellow onions. Even asked for them to go light on the onions and was assured it would happen but I got it and it was overwhelming. 🙁 this is the third time and it’s just annoying now. Even told the staff while ordering that there were too much onions last time and got brushed off and rushed off the phone. At least the pizza tasted good when you handpicked half of the onions off the pizza.

We have been weekly customers for 25 years. We’ve had many family reunions and after funeral gatherings at Vinny’s. Tonight I organized another big family gathering and when we got our bill we were shocked that pitchers of beer went from $7.50 to $18.00. The service has also been in a steady decline. We hate to part ways with our beloved Vinny’s but it’s time. $18.00 for a pitcher of beer is unjustifiable. We’ll be finding a new pizza place. Good bye Vinny’s.
