In and out of Mi in a day…. Uber driver told me I had to try a Coney at Coney Island before I left town. I found Vince’s and it’s worth all the hype!
Great place, awesome staff and even a little touch of home! I knew I was in for a treat when I saw the MI truck with a Big Orange T on the back window!
Go VOLS! And always stop and get some delicious goodness at Vince’s!

Classic food, classic prices and classic values! Pull right up and a friendly smile takes your order from your window. The homemade rootbeer does well to wash down the old school flavors of anything from a chili cheese dog to a BLT with thick-cut bacon! If local tourism has you feeling hungrier than normal, pay Vince’s a visit.

The bacon cheeseburger is worth getting. It had a good flavor profile with the toppings as the sauteed onion was done very well. My favorite topping by far was the fresh carmelized onion. On the outside it was caramelized but it had a crisp sharp interior. Thats hard to do with white onion. The burger though, is a bit dry and flavorless overall and that is why the bacon and mayo really brought in the complementary flavor profile while also saving the day with their added moisture to the burger as a whole.

I would reccomend adding some butter or olive oil to the meat maybe to truly pick up the flavor and juices. Playing with some spice would do good too.
I think that the Owner’s should make sure their staff know the history of this place as well, and thats really what drew in the 3 star for service. Overall they were nice, but when we asked about the historical relevance of the location… there was a lack of knowledge and as a result she was short with conversation.

Typical old school American drive-in food at its best with homemade root beer, floats and all the fixings. Great chili dogs great cheeseburger with bacon great chili cheese fries.!
Where else can you go nowadays and get your burger wrapped in plain white paper nostalgia, delivered in a plain nostalgic white paper bag…
Stumbled across this place going to another restaurant we walked out of because the food was bad, because I saw this place on the way there we stopped on the way back.. should have listened to myself on the way to the other restaurant because this place is one of the last mom and pops old school drive in hole in the wall places that isn’t a chain.
It’s a true gem and I’ll be making special trips to just eat here!

This place is one of my favorites.

I don’t get here as much as I’d like, but that makes the trip and the burger a little extra special.

Erin had the chicken gyro with fries and she said it was really good. Sloppy, but good. Nothing wrong with sloppy.

I had my favorite; a double cheese deluxe and it did not disappoint. Hot, juicy, cheesy, and with just the right amount of mayo, mustard, tomato, onion and lettuce. I don’t really like lettuce on my burger, but they did it the right way with the lettuce on top of everything else, and not directly on top of the meat.

I also had some fries with a few waffle fries mixed in. The fries are always hot, crispy outside, and soft on the inside.

I had a chili dog because I had to try one. Everybody says Vince’s has the best chili dogs, but it was a miss for me. I really didn’t like it much. Oh well, now I know. Sorry, Vince.

Service is always great, quick, and friendly. With me, that’s a huge selling feature. Thanks again, Vince, for some delicious grindage.

Vince’s W. Elm Drive In, you’re still in my top 5 favorite burger drive ups. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I like this place because of the friendly and fast service, the good prices and the chili dogs. I’ve had a lot of coney dogs / chili dogs and they all taste similar. Kind of beefy tasting, and that’s not a bad thing. Vince’s chili dogs on the other hand have a strong tomato taste with a slight sweetness to it. There is some heat to the chili, not too much, maybe black pepper or some chili powder. It’s different and that is why I like it. The prices are very reasonable, $2.00 for a chili dog or a $1.00 for a chili burger! And the root beer is very good, I get a strong vanilla flavor from it. The pictures really don’t do justice to the food, it tastes much better than it looks. For me this is a good place to go for a quick & cheap lunch or when I get that taste for a chili dog.

The food was ok, but I definitely wouldn’t come back again and I personally wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anybody. The burger patty was bland and super greasy. They put a lot of onion on their burgers, so if you don’t like onion that much, ask for light or no onion. The homemade root beer tasted like it was full of artificial vanilla. Some people may find this ok, but it made my stomach hurt and made my husband almost puke. The chili cheese fries were the worst part. The chili was bland for the most part. The only strong flavor it had was a super sweet ketchup flavor. This seems to be a common complaint about their chili. The good parts about this place are that the food comes out fast and that the place looked decently clean on the outside (not sure about the inside).
