The food was freshly prepared and flavorful. I got the Corona Battered Fish Fillet (which has no cheese btw) and highly recommend it; the fish was tender and you can absolutely taste the beer in the breading which was nice. The breaded zucchini was also surprisingly good– they were lightly crispy and soft inside, with nothing fried hard or overdone. Lastly I tried the rice pudding, which is apparently from another company but it is delicious, rich & creamy with cinnamon on top.
They are currently take-out only so there’s no seating inside but I’m always on the move so that works for me.
I’m glad this little place is here in town! I will have to stop by again.
1) Vinces Club (pic) – the fried egg pops this to NEXT LEVEL
2) Cheese Fries (pic)- my opinion, Best Around….cheese only..can’t comment on any other way….
3) Stromboli – you’ll do a double take…its round….and its awesome
4) Pizza Hoagie (pic)- Cult Classic,
Simply put!!
I had a round plain. I had to try a slice in my car before I pulled away as is tradition, And with the first bite I was like oh yeah this is the stuff. The crust is on the thinner side, weight I would say is on the slightly heavier side, and it’s got the perfect amount of grease on top because you know that means they’re using the good cheese blend.
Remember this is take out only so it’s just a small little waiting area, very quaint.
It’s crazy to think just on that small stretch of road how many great pizza shops there are. Vince’s, Napoli’s, DeMuro’s, and Tony’s. Then at the top of William Street right around the corner is Bari which is also very good, they throw a bit of oregano and possibly some other spices in with the cheese and sauce mix so that is baked in which might not be for everybody but I loved it.
All of these joints in this condensed area…well you can’t go wrong. Flip a coin. They all rank about even in my book for their plain round pies, each one just has its own little differences. We are truly spoiled! And you notice how these places never go out of business for how many there are? The Wyoming valley must eat more pizza per capita then 95% of the rest of the country and with pizza joints like this everywhere you turn It’s no wonder.
