Pretty okay food with very large portions. Not my favorite. Nothing special. The minestrone was very bland and lacked pasta and beans. It was basically an unseasoned vegetable soup. The meatballs are delicious!
Dated decor and atmosphere. Not a bad experience, but nothing about it makes me want to come back for more or try something I hadn’t.
Not the most authentic Italian flavors. Carbonara, for example, isn’t meant to have a cream sauce. No oil/vinegar at the table. Flavors are basic and Americanized.

Vince’s Restaurant in Federal Way has been one of my local favorites for over 30 years, and I am honestly surprised it took me this long to finally write a review. We visited on a weeknight evening with our teen grandkids and were seated quickly, with drinks brought out right away.
Some places are just that consistently good. You take them for granted until you realize how special they really are.
The restaurant has a classic old school neighborhood Italian vibe, complete with red and white checkered tablecloths that instantly make you feel at home. It was comfortable, relaxed, and exactly the kind of place where you can settle in and enjoy your time together.
We ordered the Vince’s Special pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and olives. I have been ordering this pizza for years and it never disappoints. It was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and exactly how a great Italian pizza should be.
My wife ordered the Penne All’Arrabbiata, a pasta dish in a spicy marinara sauce. It was absolutely fabulous, with rich flavor and just the right amount of heat.
The grandkids were more than happy with their choices. They ordered spaghetti with marinara sauce and the Carne pizza, loaded with pepperoni, salami, sausage, and ham. While we waited, we were served warm French bread with butter, which was a simple but very appreciated touch.
Portions were generous, everything came out hot and fresh, and the quality was outstanding across the table.
Our server was friendly and attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening.

We enjoyed an amazing Italian meal with the best service I’ve seen in quite some time. Fresh house made bread with the minestrone soup was a perfect stop. We enjoyed pizza and cannelloni. Delicious.

This place has the best, Italian food I’ve had in a long time! The owner is from Naples, Italy. Spaghetti Carbonara was spectacular. My sister had the meat Tortellini and she was so thrilled with it! The bread… oh the bread was SO good. The staff was friendly and prompt. ❤️ The prices were almost what you’d pay for lunch at other restaurants. We will definitely be going back. Next time we might have to try their pizza!

I had a difficult order tortellini with white sauce add pesto and garlic. It was tricky for the chef, but he was able to pull it off in the end. It was very good. Our server was fantastic. She was from the other side having a brain fart but she was great love it here. You guys need to bring back Kareoki in the Bar side just because the manager doesn’t like it doesn’t mean other people don’t or owner

I think food is mediocre? It has a large portion though. We ordered the vince special for pizza and the dough was soggy in the middle, maybe because the toppings were loaded? (Not sure if that’s a bad thing) the carbonara taste like it has cream in it vs the authentic version. It’s a nice restaurant but not mind blowing. It’s definitely a good value for money

Let me tell you a story about Vince’s and why I’ll always be a customer there! My first time going there ever! I feel like I left my moms house with a meal already cooked that I didn’t want to eat and went to my grandma’s house who already cooked, ate and cleaned the kitchen for the night but whipped up my favorite meal just because she knew I hadn’t eaten yet.
I wanted pasta but I wanted to go to a mom and pop place. A friend recommended Vince’s and said they stayed open late.
I looked at the menu a few times and didn’t see anything that I wanted. They have so much on the menu too. Just nothing I wanted to eat. The waitress was very friendly and patient with me. She came back several times to check on me and I told her I can’t find anything I want. She asked what I wanted and I described what I was looking for. She smiled and said we can do that!
They whipped up something for me in the back based off of what I wanted and it was AMAZING!!!!!! It was the BEST I was completely satisfied. It was like a warm hug but in my belly.
My description …. Grilled chicken with a cheesy sauce but not Alfredo but with tomato’s, onions and whatever veggies they have. It was cheesy and had veggies and the chicken was cooked to perfection.
Who does that???? Spoiled me ….. YES just like grandma. I love this place! I’ve been back several times and will continue to go back always! You should definitely go if you are in the area or just want really good Italian food.
