This was such a great find after a hike at Elizabeth Morton Preserve and a walk around town – great vibe, clean crisp styling of tables and banquets, and a nice tight bistro menu of classics + 15 wines from wine regions of France. Great onion soup perfectly browned and gooey and a lovely Pumpkin Creme Brûlée with an expert crack sugar top.

Danielle is outstanding! It’s very hard to not have a positive experience after being greeted with a beautiful “hello”.
The Escargot followed by the Muscles and the Tuna Tartare are absolutely delicious.
The Hugo Spritzs are worth hours at the bar.
If it’s your first time to Sag Harbor, Danielle is a wealth of information that will set you up for a wonderful visit.
Will definitely “belly up” to the bar before we leave…..thanks for a great first impression of Sag Harbor.

Agree w/the other poor reviews here. The food isn’t terrible, but frankly not great either. I guess it’s why you can usually get a table. The problem is really the service. Similar to other folks, we just had a really lousy experience because of the server. She was a young French-speaking woman with glasses; a little clueless and with way too much attitude. We are well-traveled foodies, and have dealt with attitude plenty in the past. If the food and drinks are good, it can be managed. But this was almost comical. She would insist that certain wines weren’t available, even though we saw the bottles sitting in the wine cooler on the bar; she’d leave our bottle sitting in a cooler and disappear while our glasses sat empty; she’d go to the other side of the restaurant and start setting up empty tables (the place was at most a third full), instead of bringing us our next course. The lunch dragged on for over two hours because she was so slow and indifferent. And just a bad attitude.
Based on our experience, and the other reviews, they really don’t seem to care. I can’t understand this, as a fellow business owner. The prices are high, and there are too many other great places to eat in Sag Harbor and the other villages. We’ve owned a home in the area for 15 years, and have seen a lot of places come and go; it’s a competitive market. Unless these guys can turn it around, I’ll be they’re gone soon as well.

The food is AMAZING!! We had the smoked tuna tartare, fries & bread—all impressive. We also tried the chicken liver pate—not my thing—but very traditional & well-done. We liked the light, French beer too. The young (I think French) man who served us had a great personality & is an excellent server. Beautiful atmosphere. Sitting outside was fun for ppl watching 🙂

I FOUND MY SPOT!!!!!!! This will be my spot for the summer. The white Sancerre was great. Valentino was so knowledgeable, he was explaining about the different types of tequila and Ophelia was telling us about the wines. Michel? If you need to be entertained, just talk to him. Highly recommend this place.

Incredible French bistro in the heart of Sag Harbor. I was worried the food would be heavy but it was beautifully light! The onion tarte is light as air and packed with flavor. The cold octopus salad was delicate and tender. The muscles were large and packed with flavor. The rib eye was huge!
Best of all was our server Daniella! She is French and made us feel like we were eating at her home, make sure you sit in her section!
And since this place is new you can actually get a table easily!!

Expectations are always realistic with the seasonal staff that must be secured for the summer. So, it’s rarely going to be great service in the Hamptons (with rare exceptions of course). But this was an absolute joke. This place is half empty (at best) 90% of the time. 4th of July weekend it was fairly crowded like every place out here (good or bad), as it’s of course a huge surge of people for the holiday weekend. No greeting when walking in, then I very politely asked the short manager woman in the black pants suit if they had a table for 2 for a walk-in. She didn’t say a word, just started vigorously shaking her head “no” as she continued to chomp on her gum. Classy!! Ok if you’re fully committed, rather than pounding on your chewing gum in what’s supposed to be a fine dining establishment, how about ‘I’m sorry sir, we’re fully committed, tonight but I’d be happy to make you a reservation for another evening and look forward to you dining with us soon”. Just so amateurish it seemed like it couldn’t be real. I do not recommend this place whatsoever, and aside from a couple of holiday weekends, again it’s never close to full…so I’m sure it’s not the “go-to place” for most others out here either.
