Excellent tacos, full of flavor, well portioned. Guacamole has a great “bite” and is smooth.
This taco place is rated on Michelin bib gourmand and I’ll be honest, I don’t know why. By every measure the tacos, while delicious, do not provide a superior value to the other multiple taco places in the facility, let alone SoCal.
Nevertheless the tacos were good. The flavor was delicious and toppings were appropriate. I really enjoyed the chips and salsa. However as a taco connoisseur I did find it somewhat disappointing and i wonder if the Michelin committee realizes that this LA is a taco Mecca- and that these tacos, while delicious overall, are merely average compared to the multiple stellar, high value taco locations in this city.

I wanted to check this place out because it was Michelin recommend. I got the Villa Trio and the tacos had a lot of meat, topping and flavor. I honestly took a bite out of each one and they all tasted good. I like all 3 flavors that came with it, chorizo, aside and Pollo. The woman at the counter was nice and although there was a lot of people waiting for food, everyone got there food quickly. They also have like several sauces. I WISH I could have tried them all. Next time I will ask, I was a little overwhelmed with the options, I only ended up getting 2.

On Day 2 of my LA trip, I stopped by Villa’s Tacos inside the vibrant Grand Central Market, and it was absolutely a highlight of the day. I ordered the Villa Trio Platter with a Coca-Cola, which came to around $20, and it was worth every cent. The platter included Papas con Chorizo, Ranchera Asada, and Black Bean con Pollo, and each taco was huge and genuinely far larger than I expected. It came packed in a big container for carrying around the market, which would also be suitable to take away.
Each taco had its own distinct, bold flavour, and the quality of ingredients really stood out, from the perfectly seasoned meats to the generous cheese and fresh toppings. Their selection of homemade salsas is fantastic, adding an extra kick without overpowering the main ingredients. I’m not normally a big fan of guac, which they add generously to all three tacos, and had I known that I would’ve asked for it to be removed. Even so, it didn’t take anything away from how delicious the meal was overall.
The servers were polite, friendly, and helpful, even with the constant flow of customers around them. And of course, being right inside the bustling Grand Central Market adds to the whole experience. It’s lively, full of energy, and the perfect place for a filling, flavoursome lunch.
I left absolutely stuffed and extremely satisfied. I’d happily recommend Villa’s Tacos to anyone looking for a proper LA taco experience.

Although known for their original location, this location of Villa’s Tacos tends to fly more under the radar and yet still deliver that Michelin level caliber taco. If you hate waiting in lines then I’d recommending visiting this location in the late afternoon to avoid the lines and still get great tacos. Obviously, the queso tacos are the main attraction but sample some more of the menu, you can’t go wrong!

When we visited Grand Central Market this was one of the places recommended to try. We’ve come here twice now and probably have to go once more before we leave LA. Taco’s were so flavourful and the crispy cheese is the cherry on top! Super delicious and for the price definitely worth it!

I got the villa trio to try each meat option and it was really tasty! I liked the crispy cheese and all the different salsas. I definitely recommend asking for extra pickled onions! The line is a bit long but it’s not slow.

These tacos at Grand Central Market are a five star spot that delivers on flavor. I got the Villa Trio Platter with a drink (~$20 per person), and the tacos were huge, filling, and packed with fresh meats that tastes straight off the grill, paired with vibrant salsas and onion n cilantro. The blue corn tortillas live up to the hype, and the strawberry lemonade was a perfect refresher. Even one and a half tacos left me full. Its an excellent choice for anyone craving high quality, hearty tacos in the heart of DTLA

How is this place not 5.0 stars?! Quite possibly the best tacos I’ve ever eaten. I got the queso pollo tacos. I first thought 1 would be enough and I’d try something else at this amazing market, but then I ate it. And immediately got back in line.

Tacos were absolutely flavorful. I got the trio tacos and all three tacos had their own unique flavor. Pairs perfectly with a nice cold Victoria. Would absolutely come again.
