A quaint little place with fantastic coffee and gelato. Both are just as good as what we had in Italy, seriously. It’s so nice to disconnect from your phone for a few minutes and enjoy time with your family. There’s a little area with tonka trucks for kids to play with. Pay attention to the modest dress code and no phones policy.

This is our favorite coffee shop in Birmingham! The baristas are always great and create the perfect cup of coffee.
The dress code and other restrictions are noted pretty visibly throughout. We’ve never had any issues.
Highly recommended!

This was a delightful surprise. We had a sandwich and 3 flavors of gelato and everything was wonderful!! We will definetely go back. So charming. Loved the gift shop and the “living room” and even the bathroom! Need to experience it. You won’t miss your cell phone, which you must leave in your car. Good riddance. Thank you to the owner who is giving a generous gift by inviting the public to experience the beauty he has created. God bless!

Best gelato you’ll ever have unless you go to Rome! This is such a sweet place. They also serve paninis that I haven’t tried yet and there’s a cute general store. It has a conservative dress code so make sure you see the website for details. Nothing crazy just respectful. And they’re only open Thursday -Saturday. Check out its story and connection to Rome. Fabulous!

I finally found a place that carries the quality of beef I’ve been looking for. I arrived at night so I didn’t get to see the whole place in the light, but everything looks very charming. The two young ladies who assisted me while I was there were very helpful and knowledgeable about the quality of the beef they sell and their farm where it is raised. I had to make a quick stop, so I plan to come back soon and when I return I want to try their gelato and one of the chicken boxes they were telling me about. I had never heard about this spot until tonight when this guy at Sprouts overheard me asking about some beef I saw there. He referred me to Villaggio Colafrancesco, so I decided to check it out. I’m glad I did. What a great find!

Terrible woman behind the counter. I arrived to the shop with long sleeves and high next too loose fitting. I was wearing business dress shorts with a belt and dress shoes. I was holding my infant daughter in my arms. As soon as I walked in the door and started showing my baby the ice creams to try, the woman said “you have to leave.” I asked why and she said I was dressed inappropriately. My husband next to me was wearing an old t shirt with shorts above his knees. Nothing was said to him. The employee then went on the ask if I was aware of a modest dress code, and if I could not follow it I was not allowed on the premises. Not just the ice cream shop, but the entire premises. However, again, my husband who had shorts above his knees was not told anything. I then had to hand my baby to my husband while they got ice cream and I wait in the parking lot. My baby also had shorts on above her knees and was not asked to leave…. This establishment is rude, sexist, inconsiderate, and told a mother with a small baby to leave right in front of the baby. I did not cause a scene, I left quietly.
I will always tell people how rude and terrible this place is to women and mothers with small children.

Different. Well worth leaving your cellphone in the car. Gelato was amazing. Looking forward to trying the coffee and charcuterie next time

A fascinating delicious place for coffee, gelato, sandwiches and more! Their sprawling campus features a number of different tasting, visual and community experiences. They have been adding more farm-to-table products including farm raised meats so check back often.
Please note the dress code is modest (like the Vatican) and they also have a “no phones” policy which makes this a little getaway without having to travel.

Wow. What an interesting experience. Coffee, gelato, sandwiches, antipasto. Wonderful little sitting areas both inside and outside. They have frozen cuts of heritage Myers available as well. Highly recommend a stop. I recommend the pistachio gelato. Just get the 6oz it is enough for two people.

My fiancé and I visited a few weeks ago after working out at our gym. Not knowing the dress code I had on shorts but was politely asked if we minded to put a covering over my legs. I had no problem doing that and the sweet hostess offered me a covering. We are going back tonight for gelatos and coffee after dinner with our church family friends and are looking forward to enjoying the calm environment that is there. I love what they are trying to offer Birmingham and look forward to some good clean fun this evening.
