We stopped by Villager’s Café and were so glad we did! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming—exactly the kind of place that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and you can tell they put care into every detail.
This place is a local gem. Definitely worth a visit—I can’t wait to go back!

The pot roast Po’Boy is one of the best in the
Lafayette area, although all of the sandwiches are delicious. I love the
Way they heat the bread in an oven to warm and crisp it. The fried potatoes are also a must. They do everything right at this tiny sandwich shop

Great atmosphere. Got Both a Philly cheese steak and a grilled chicken poboy. Full size me and my husband was going to split them. Was enough for 4 people at $28 not bad in price. The Philly was amazing . One the other had the chicken was covered in so much mustard. Way to much for us and I like a good bit of mustard. But sharing the Philly was plenty for us.

The shrimp are perfectly fried, boasting a golden, crispy coating that locks in their juicy, tender flavor. Each bite delivers a satisfying crunch, followed by the sweet, succulent taste of fresh shrimp.
The side of potato fries is just as satisfying, with a crisp exterior and fluffy interior, seasoned to perfection. They’re great for dipping in a bit of ketchup or hot sauce, providing a classic pairing to the fried shrimp.

They said ‘Louisiana’s Best Kept Secret’ and I can see why. Tremendous food there and I was absolutely blown away. Get the meatball po’boy and some homemade fries! Staff was excellent too. Going to be hard to avoid this place when I visit!

I’ve eaten here for years but the last few times I was not impressed, today I thought maybe that was an off day. Nope. Today was HORRID!!! My shrimp tasted like old grease and tough shrimp, the fries were inedible, they were ice cold and hard as a rock literally. I’m done, not for me again. I understand why their new location failed!

Passing by this joint for 12 years never stopped. My mistake. Great food, large servings and super cheap prices. Half a Poboy and I’m stuffed only a super hero could eat a whole fast paced tiny place but it moves quickly. You must go here

Two friends and I were in Lafayette covering a local comic con, and asked one of the local artist for good place to eat. He pointed us to this place and we were not disappointed. We had three of their po’boys and all three were delicious. We had the pot roast, Philly, and villagers. The staff was very nice and accommodating. If I had any complaint, it seemed to be a bit small of a location for the tons of people I want to drag back here with me.

So this was an interesting little place, and I mean little! Love the crazy decor. The menu was decent for a cafe but was surprised with all of the sandwiches there wasn’t a burger. I had the Villager poor boy. The bread was a good poor boy bread with thin sliced ham and beef with a little gravy and veggies. Some places have horrible bread. The fries were unique, never saw them cut that way but they were crispy and tasted great. It’s a busy in and out kinda place, I wouldn’t recommend sitting around after a meal chit chatting. Service was ok, the server was very nice but because of the size of the place she literally was handling every table herself. If you want a lot of attention from your server this isn’t the place for you. We had enough attention to get the job done but it was a little slow since it was packed and people waiting outside. Overall a good little cafe.
