After two lovely evenings at Macedonia Brook State Park, we awoke to hoots, hollers, and a black bear who was just across the brook, helping to clean up food at neighbor’s campsite. We banged pots and pans to scare him off, but decided not to fix our own breakfast. Off to the Villager Restaurant in Kent, where we had a fantastic breakfast on the patio. Great service, great people watching, and flavorful omelets and pancakes. A wonderful meal in a family restaurant.

This is an adorable and delightful little restaurant with outdoor seating in the heart of Kent, Connecticut. We discovered this last May on my daughter’s birthday when we were out on a Sunday drive. They have very good food, good service, and I love that you’re able to enjoy the beautiful weather and sit outdoors while dining. The location is great. You are close to Kent falls and there’s a cute little shopping area that you can walk around right there by the restaurant. So it’s a nice place to spend an afternoon.

Served super quick. Nothing I ordered was necessary mind blowing, kinda bland and wet. I’d suggest for burritos: crisp up the outside so it doesn’t fall apart from the moisture of the peppers/onions. Had to eat it with a fork and knife. I’ll eat here again. Good overall. Like to be honest in reviews.. not just 1 or 5.

Very good food, quick and friendly service.
Only problem I had was find good parking space. We will be there again for delicious food. Just been there second time and food was delicious and serve as always very good.

Stopped in for a quick bite but ended up having the BEST breakfast food in my life. Eggs Benedict over crispy beef hash with golden buttered bread in a lovely atmosphere. Everyone needs to come here for breakfast and lunch!!!

Great food. We had Fish Tacos and Shrimp Tacos. I don’t remember eating such delicious food in a while. Portion sizes are large. Complete value for money. Everyone managing the restaurant was cheerful and welcoming. I would visit again.

Perfect finale to a great hike in the region.

Menu a mix between American and Mexican fare. Staff friendly and prices fair. Coffee served in to-go cups and no wi-fi offered. Bathroom narrow but mostly clean. Al fresco seating, including a wooden picnic table. Vintage décor throughout the restaurant.

The Villager Restaurant was a nice spot. We went there looking for a nice Mexican dinner, and that was exactly what we got. Skipping an appetizer we were brought chips and drinks. (Coca-Cola) after that we had time to dwell on what to order in the relatively uncrowded facility. We settled finally on an order of quesadillas and tacos! Both were to our liking.

My favorite restaurant in the area was unexpectedly closed on Mother’s Day, so we popped into Villager.

Food: delicious (I had the Alaskan Benedict and the egg was poached to perfection)
Staff: friendly & personable
Service: quick!

Note: If it’s busy in there, it is a bit loud.

My friend and I sat outside on a beautiful day and enjoyed a delicious afternoon meal. I got the chicken quesadilla and my friend got the fish tacos. She said they were the best she’d ever eaten! My quesadilla was very good as well. Mine was served with guacamole, sour cream and salsa. Our waiter was attentive and helpful, may have been the owner. Prices were reasonable with good size portions. I highly recommend this place!
