Second, they got my order wrong. I asked for Shrimp parm and Caesar salad instead of noodles.
I’m disappointed. I’m a longtime resident of the town and never had any issues eating here.
The menu is expansive, there is so much more than just pizza…which I might add is also amazing…I frequent this establishment because the food is amazing, the portions are huge, the price is right and an amazing added bonus is the phenomenal service! I’ll keep you updated as I make my way through the menu, but for now here are a few of my favorite things!!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Chicken & Broccoli Rabe – it’s not available everyday but when they have it, I always say this is the BEST broccoli rabe I’ve ever had. My friend Max said it’s because it’s fresh…I say give me more.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trattoria Salad – I love to try new things…So I tried this salad and learned I love fennel. This arugula based salad stars fresh fennel and when I order I ask for their grilled shrimp to be the co-star! It’s a perfect paring give it a try, you won’t regret it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pizza on Fridays – my favorite day for pizza is Friday! On Fridays I love to order the ‘seafood’ pizza options…not sure if that’s what it’s called but they have a calamari slice and a shrimp scampi slice that put meaning to TGIF! Trust me on this one, try new things!
Oh and always ask what kind of soup they have…if they have you’re favorite get two and thank me later!

Now, their pizza’s are one of the priciest in NJ while competition is as hot as the oven. I’ve steered towards other high priced pizzerias that have niche value such as Wisconsin mozarella or thicker pan crust with more cheese + toppings.
For starters, the portion sizes were big and for the small individual pizza, they give you six large pieces! The quality was excellent and if I’m ever in the area again and I’m feeling for Italian, I’ll definitely be going to Village Trattoria. This spot should get a rating of Molto Bene!
