First time eating here and ate at the Winston Salem location during lunch time. The server lacked personality, but provided good service. Our drinks came quick and were refilled as needed without asking. The food was delivered promptly after ordering. I personally had no issues with the food. It was delicious! Good atmosphere and nice outdoor shaded seating. I would eat here again based in my experience.

Village Tavern is a consistent go to spot for my family whenever we are in the area. The food quality is high and the flavors are delicious. The warm and romantic ambiance is also a bonus. We typically order the same staples: the Chicken Teriyaki, Teriyaki Trout, chicken Colorado, Chicken Alfredo, and chips and crab dip for appetizers. We’ve never been disappointed.

This was a great place to eat. Everything here was delicious. Temperature of the food was at a great temp. My partner e s up having to send her steak back twice because they couldn’t get it to well done. She end up switching to a thinner slice steak. Never had calamari made the way they were here sweet and sour slightly crispy.

I dined at this place many of times, and the major issue I have today was the fact I specially noted that I have a family member that has a huge allergy to anything pork and was still given in her salad and now she isn’t well from the first 2 bites from it, I called in and spoken to Judy she assured a refund and a salad to replace the mistake. I assumed I was going to speak to her and given the things she promised but only to receive the salad with no refund. The simplest mistake has cost a major issue and that is disappointing on their part.

First time here… amazing experience overall. The food was great I would definitely recommend anyone coming to try the fried calamari but the steak was made to a perfect medium definitely savory I did dislike the garlic mashed potatoes due to I felt it tasted like boxed spuds. We went here for a special night out with some out-of-town family. It did not disappoint. They were very accommodating with my cousin who has several allergies. I also brought my two very young children and the staff was sweet and accommodating to them as well. The food and service were excellent. It’s a true scratch kitchen and everything is fresh. Our waitress, Carla, was wonderful. We will come back.

After an hour and 5 minutes, we were asked to go outside in a heated tent. Once we got there, a miscommunication caused us to STAND and wait 15 more minutes. The bus boys were extremely slow and had to go back and for bringing dirty dishes instead of having like a Tupperware bin. This heated tent is not very warm. I’m disabled having had back surgery. I gave up my warm seat inside to stand and wait in this tent. The food is on the expensive side and I would have thought the environment would have been better. They would not take reservations or call ahead. I won’t be back.

Super busy during a weekday lunch, I had to park behind planet fitness. It’s loud and bustling inside, food is great. Oysters were a bit over cooked on this particular day though. The best part was our server, she was so top notch.

Went with my boyfriend who had never been to Village Tavern so he could try another great restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and grits. The restaurant was busy but the service was good and we were not rushed. There’s plenty of ample parking as well as wheelchair accessibility for those needing it.
