Family went here for dinner and the server was awesome. The potato skins were good and I would recommend. They had the plastic cup of sour cream sitting on one of the skins and that’s gross. Not sure why they couldn’t just carry the little cup out ..who knows where it was before on the potato skins.

I got the southwest salad and it came with a cheese quesadilla on it. The quesadilla had basically no cheese in it lol. The salad was fine minus that.

Philly cheesesteak and burger were good enough. Crazy that a family of three eating at a pub is $110 bucks. I would recommend giving this place a try the atmosphere inside is cool.

Village Tavern turned out to be the perfect (and really, the only) spot in town for an evening out. We stopped by for drinks and were pleasantly surprised to find that, beyond the beer and cocktails, the food was genuinely good — not just standard bar fare.

We ordered the Alpine salad and a quesadilla that was absolutely fantastic — not just cheese, but loaded with shrimp and vegetables, making it much more flavorful and satisfying than expected.

The atmosphere was exactly what you’d hope for in a tavern: lots of wood accents, a lively bar counter, and the kind of friendly noise that makes the place feel warm and social. The service was attentive and added to the positive vibe.

Overall, Village Tavern left a great impression and made for a fun, relaxed evening. We’d happily return next time we’re in town.

We visited The Tavern this past weekend while in Vermont and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience from start to finish.

We tried calling the restaurant twice before arriving and no one answered. When we got there, the restaurant was not busy and we were seated right away, but service was extremely slow. It took about 10 minutes just to receive water, and another 7 minutes before we were asked if we wanted any other drinks.

The food was the biggest letdown. We ordered pretzels as an appetizer and they were clearly undercooked — some parts were cold. My partner ordered a steak well done and it came out closer to medium rare. I ordered wings; while they were technically cooked, they were not crispy, the flavor was not good, and they were very underwhelming overall.

Cleanliness was also an issue. The atmosphere felt dim, quiet, and uninviting, and I unfortunately witnessed our waitress picking her nose, which was extremely off-putting and made the cleanliness of the restaurant feel questionable.

Overall, the food quality, service, and atmosphere did not meet our standards, and the vibe just wasn’t there. We were really looking forward to a cozy Vermont tavern experience, but this missed the mark for us.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Village Tavern in Jeffersonville, VT, conveniently located minutes from Smuggler’s Notch, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming ambiance. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure our dining experience was exceptional.

The food was absolutely delicious, with a diverse menu that catered to a variety of tastes. I tried the grilled salmon and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The portion sizes were generous and the presentation was beautiful. I highly recommend the Maple Chipotle Wings(we are in VT of course) or the Quesadilla Explosion Salad to really get your taste buds going. They offer a variety of classics for kids as well such as Chicken Fingers, Hot Dogs, and Spaghetti.

Overall, I highly recommend The Village Tavern to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Jeffersonville. The combination of excellent food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit destination. I will definitely be returning in the future.

PLEASE NOTE: They are VERY busy so you will likely not get through via phone. I showed up in person to a packed restaurant, placed my takeout order and was out within 20 mins.

A nice cozy pub with excellent food and small town feel. Off season so not to busy. Service was fine. Food was good to great (fried chicken special was excellent) with not to many food options around this is a winner.
