Old-fashioned standby on the lake with Friday fish frys, daily prime rib & American fare.

My boyfriend and I came to celebrate his birthday. We took a Sunday reservation since they were booked solid for Saturday. I had the salmon and he had the NY strip. I started with French onion soup (sans croutons for gluten free), it was full of a lot of onions, but lacked the usual French onion balsamic bite I’m used to. The vegetable of the day was Brussels sprouts and I loved them, they had a smokey flavor and were not drowning in balsamic. The mashed potatoes were also amazing. My bf thought his steak was ok in the first bit, I thought it was very good, then he got more flavor in the middle. The salmon was good. I took half of my meal home, and the potatoes and Brussels were just as good the next day. If you are gluten friendly let them know, they have some gluten free breads that were delicious! I’d come back to try the duck.

Go…. Just go… food was outstanding!! Big portions with incredibly complex delicious flavors. We expect small little plates like some other supper clubs but meals came with big portions, soup or salad and vegetables or potato. The atmosphere is stunning too. Fresh baked seasoned rolls on the table were delicious too! You have to buy the relish tray so we skipped that and got the lump crab cake.. also delicious.

The Village Supper Club in Delavan WI is everything you hope for in a supper club. Exceptional design, perfect lighting, Rat Pack music in the background. And it is busy. I tried getting reservations since it reopened after a 2024 renovation and finally struck gold. We arrived for our 5:30 res (because we’re old) and the restaurant was packed. You could hear the buzz of conversations but could not hear any table individually, which was great. The drinks menu and dinner menu were packed with choices. Our friends both went with the Saturday night special Prime Rib, and I ordered duck. It’s not something I see on menus often and it was a treat. Crispy skin with an orange glaze – classic. We ordered the crispy French fries as an appetizer – clearly homemade. And the Dirty Shirley Temple was a delight.
Don’t forget to check out the whimsical wallpaper in the bathrooms!
I can’t wait for my next visit. If I can get another reservation.

We loved our dinner tonight! We ordered the relish tray, two filets, one pork shank, and for dessert a Brandy Alexander, chocolate ganache cake, and angel food cake. Everything was delicious! The Brandy Old Fashioneds were outstanding. Highly recommend, will definitely return. Reservations are a must.

This place is so nice inside and out. The staff are super helpful. But, the Friday fish fry is average. The fried cod was a wet batter, hot, but no flavor. The baked cod was a little more seasoned and hot, but overcooked and still … boring (no sauce). The potatoes pancake was the most interesting item and it had good flavor. The outdoor fire pit was great! The wine selection was large, but nothing overwhelmingly grand. Overall, I would try again and hope they find some seasoning.

Such a great find! Very chic and current atmosphere with a bit if a rustic lake feel. The walleye was browned perfectly and the lemon capers sauce was citrusy yet creamy. The garlic buttery rolls were crispy on the outsid and tender on the inside. The relish tray… best green goddess dressing ever. A hint of ceaser, with a creamy, herby, basil ranch taste. And the cheese for the celery and pretzels… A true Wisconsin dream. Rich, creamy, and zingy.

We were a little uncertain with mixed reviews but this place was great. One of the best old fashioneds around. Meal was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Slightly more formal than your typical supper club but still very kid friendly.

Loved the modern mid century atmosphere. Complimentary music from the era.
Warm and inviting. Excellent service. Had relish try (can’t go wrong), salads with green goddess dressing (yum dressing), garlic parm rolls, almond crusted walleye was hot and fresh (generous portions). Ribeye was tasty. And very accommodating for kids (do have kids menu)
The chocolate cake dessert was just OK.
Lovely and fun drink menu.

Fireplaces, lake views from everywhere, cozy and great service. Sat at the bar for a cocktail and appetizer and had a great conversation with the girl bartending and other folks doing the same. Very well run, executed and comfortable- hard to find supper clubs that are that busy and are consistent all night!!

I was cheering for this to be a five-star review. It’s clear the kitchen could improve composition and quality.
Our first visit before or after renovations. Loved the beautiful room that treats the lake as entertainment. Unusual to be facing other tables like that but it works. Friendly service and staff. Fire pits. Solid decor. It felt exactly like what we want a supper club to be, and instant hit with the relish tray on point and the jazzed up dinner rolls. The wedge salad with goddess dresssing was great (same dressing as the relish tray).
But Sunday night at 7 …three entrees – walleye, ribs, and pesto pasta were sold out – this was surprising. the server didn’t offer this info until we tried to order one of them.
So we had salmon, which was ok, duck, which came out of the kitchen without the carrots, and a medium rare NY strip steak that was somewhere closer to medium well. I never send food back, but how do you stick a pick in a steak to claim it as medium rare and .. not notice that it’s not juicy?
Address the kitchen issues and we will send all our supper club loving neighbors your way. Otherwise maybe we’d return for burgers and curds? It’s so great of a setting, I want it to get there.
