UGA Dining Services is supposed to be a quality auxillary service to a reputable institution. For the most part, the dining halls live up to this reputation. However, Joe Frank Harris commons serves as a painful reminder that there is always one bad apple in the bunch – and I am not just referring to the terrible underripe or rotten (50/50) fruits that this dining hall serves. ‘Headliners’ seems to be the sort of line that would only make headlines for restaurants going out of business – pictured is their “ginger tofu,” which was nauseating and mealy. The one additional star is for Giorgio’s Pizza. It’s the best pizza on campus (not a high bar) so it remains popular enough. Some also enjoy the deli line, but expect wait times in excess of 30 minutes during peak times for a sandwich you could have made in 3. Overall, I would not recommend this dining hall over any other, especially for guests at UGA.

Very pretty and great selection of foods. For just 11 dollars you can have omelettes burgers fries cereal pizza salads coffee soda drinks. Very cost-friendly.

Plenty of seats, food restocked constantly, food was very typical of a buffet.

The best dining hall in my opinion. The only issue I have is that some of the employees love to snap at and have an attitude with the students who eat there. Its a bit scary. I understand food service is difficult cause I worked in it for a year, but I’ve never snapped at a customer, while some of the employees here do. It’s disheartening especially when I go through mentally rough days and need some sort of pick-me-up at the end of the day.

It has recently become my least favorite dining commons. Consistently extremely busy and doesn’t have the infrastructure to keep up. Every place that can have a line, will. UGA seems very overpopulated and it’s the most clear with this dining hall. You are better off going to any other dining commons. If you do go, just get pasta and call it a day.

During the week it is top notch, but I recommend never going on the weekend. Very often, nothing will be washed so looking for plates and silverware is a challenge. No condiments are restocked. The drink machines will not have ice and most of the options will be gone.

ECV is a great dining hall with plenty of different options and SMOOTHIES! Too bad there’s a literal gremlin working the smoothie stand. Do not approach 4’4” Betty aggressively or she’ll bite your head off!

ECV will always have a special place in my heart for the smoothies alone. But the grill and sandwich line are where it’s really at.

Just avoid the gym crowd (after 3pm until about 5) if you actually want to eat, and look out for summer camp kids

Great food and smoothies. The only thing I’d complain about is that the grilled chicken breast is sometimes way too rubbery to eat and that the omelette is sometimes under cooked on the inside and burnt on the outside.

Apparently they close almost the entire dining room on some weekends. There’s almost no place to sit. No signage or “apologies for inconvenience” whatsoever, just blocked off the main area.

Also, very few charging outlets anywhere.
