This was our first experience ordering here. We ordered takeout. The wait was far longer than the 20 minutes stated on the phone. That didn’t really bother me. We spent almost 50 dollars on one large cheese pizza and a chicken tender dinner that included fries. The fries were fine, but the chicken and pizza were not.
The pizza had almost no sauce, and the cheese in the middle made the slice almost see through and was hard and chewy. The chicken was flat, not tender shaped and was overcooked. The edges had that woody texture of overcooked dry chicken. I also did not find they had much flavor.
Unfortunately, this is yet another pizza place here that is poor quality and over priced.
The staff was nice, and the restaurant appeared clean.

Village Pizza & Grill in Ashland, NH — absolute legends.

I was in town on a business trip, first time ever there, and decided to grab a pizza for dinner. It smelled amazing, looked perfect, I was ready to live my best pizza life… until gravity betrayed me.

I drove off down the hill, hit a little bump, and, like a tragic slow-motion movie scene, my pizza went airborne, then slid right off the seat and straight onto the floor. RIP, beautiful pie. Gone too soon.

Apparently, the folks inside saw the whole thing happen (probably thought I was filming a sad commercial), and before I could even process my loss, they came out and offered to make me a brand new pizza, completely free. Who does that anymore?!

The new one was piping hot, cheesy, and absolutely delicious, one of the best I’ve ever had. Crispy crust, perfect sauce, and clearly made by people who actually care about their food and their customers.

So yeah, Village Pizza & Grill didn’t just restore my dinner. They restored my faith in humanity.

The food is good but the prices have really gotten out of hand. $18.49 for a steak and cheese with onion lettuce and tomato…

Staff are always friendly and I really do like their pizza. It just doesn’t make sense at this price.

Normally we have a good experience here, I’d say they are the best in town. And I know every place makes mistakes sometimes… but I felt like sharing this one.. this is the thinnest, patchiest, pizza I’ve ever seen lol. Even with the cuts they made it’s so thin that you’d have manually cut and remove each piece carefully in order for it not to turn into a complete mess. I’ve attempted to eat 3 pieces and it’s all crunchy hard crust. I feel like I ate one piece lol.. Village do better! $25 for a cheese pizza (with tip) for this sloppy work feels like a SCAM! I mean for the most part it did taste good, and the workers are nice… but COME ON NOW GUY

(Wife wanted me to add that the Pizza was also Soggy, which made the whole experience even worse lol)

Not a good way to start of the New Year.. I probably won’t be back for a while.. Sals down the road makes Thin Pizza but atleast it’s not like putting a Wet n’ Warm tortilla in your mouth….

I just had the most delicious pepperoni calzone I have ever had. It was really great with the house made meat sauce. Outstanding!

Delicious fresh pizza cooked to perfection. Garden salad with steak tips. Steak tips could have used some marinated for my taste.

I live in Ashland and eat here often-strictly because there is nowhere else to eat in town. They are grossly overpriced. Example, a small order of onion rings and a small cold sub with a soda is over 21$. You can get a large steak and cheese WITH Fries for less than half that at the food truck down the road.. And it’s delicious! I had a friend coming from out of town last night and they made his sub wrong. For some reason I had to talk to three different people on the phone for someone to agree to remake it, after someone told me I had to bring the sub in first. I argued that I wasn’t willing to bring it in and wait for them to remake it. I said I’d bring it in when I picked the sub up. When I went in some lady informed me she took the sub off the bill. I told her I already paid for the order when I came in the first time. She said she can go in and take it off after the fact. I said thank you and proceeded to have a seat and wait for my friends sub to be remade. Now she starts running her mouth about how there’s no need for me to be rude, she was trying to make it right, everyone makes mistakes, etc. Yes, everyone does make mistakes. When you make a mistake while at work, you’re actually accountable, imagine that. But it’s pretty frustrating to order something and have the staff just make whatever they feel like making and having my son eat alone while I went back for my friends food and then having to heat up my food when I got home, which is gross now. My friend didn’t like his sub that was remade either btw.. I paid over 61$ to feed three people, one being a child and no drinks. You can’t do something to make the situation “right” and then run your mouth to the customer, it pretty much cancels out your efforts. This was all in front of the owner I’m pretty sure by the way, who said nothing. Customer service is nonexistent in this place. They want you to understand their mistakes but they don’t want to understand your frustration. If you want good food at affordable prices, made how you asked the first time, and good friendly customer service, go to the Dew Drop food truck down the street and stop eating here. Their food is mediocre at best, their prices are outrageous, and the service is TERRIBLE.
