I’d like to rate this restaurant higher, as our first visit was quite good. However, our 2nd visit a week later was disappointing. I ordered the Daily special, which was Cobb Salad. I was disappointed to learn it didn’t come with soup as some specials do. In any event, the Chicken Orzo soup was excellent. The Cobb salad arrived and looked good, but the lettuce was brown and past its prime. The restaurant was busy, so I just fished out the lettuce and put it to the side. When the waitress came to clear the table, she said, oh, where did this come from, pointing at the lettuce- as if I brought it with me. We will try them again as we had 1 great meal and 1 less than great. 3rd time’s a charm!

Stopped by here for breakfast one morning while visiting Ocean City NJ. Classic breakfast and lunch foods that leave you satisfied. It was quite busy when I arrived and had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated at the bar. They also only accept cash and have ATM outside.

I love it when you’re taking a drive in an area you’re not completely familiar with and you get hungry. The chances of finding good food at a reasonable price is fifty fifty. Village Kitchen is a perfect find. The help is friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I had the roasted poblano and chicken soup. OMG! That’s what I have to say about that.
