The first issue happened immediately. The coffee mug brought to the table had a lipstick stain on it. That should never happen in any restaurant and shows a clear lack of cleanliness and quality control.
The table ordered the Country Fried Steak meal, and the steak was literally mush on the inside. Not tender, mush. A country fried steak should never have the texture of paste. It was completely inedible.
The Lumberjack meal was just as bad. The ham was extremely salty, the hash browns were burnt, and the pancakes were burnt on the outside but raw in the middle. It is unbelievable that a kitchen would serve plates in this condition.
The only good part of the visit was the waitress Jonell. She was kind, attentive, and professional. When the issues were mentioned to her, she handled the situation immediately and fixed what she could. She is not the problem. She is the reason the situation did not end up even worse.
Based on what multiple people at the restaurant said, the cook is supposedly the boyfriend of the manager, and if that is true it would explain why nothing improves and why the quality is allowed to stay this bad. Whether that rumor is true or not, it is clear that the kitchen has no accountability and it shows in every plate that leaves it.
This location is failing at cleanliness, food quality, and kitchen oversight. Until major changes are made, avoid this Denny’s because it is absolutely not worth the time or money.
On 11/23/25 at approximately 9:00am, my experience included two separate and unacceptable issues:
1. Hygiene Failure (Coffee Mug): Upon being served, I discovered visible lipstick residue on my coffee mug. This indicates a failure in your dishwashing and sanitation protocols, which is a serious hygiene breach. I immediately requested a replacement.
2. Food Safety/Quality Failure (Main Course): Shortly after receiving my meal, the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, I had to send the dish back because the chicken fried steak was significantly undercooked—it was mushy and inedible. Serving raw or improperly cooked meat is a critical food safety hazard.
These issues combined created a very disappointing and concerning experience. I feel compelled to mention that this level of failure is a health hazard, and I may report this incident to the local Health Department due to the severity of the undercooked food.
