We were coming back into town a bit later in the evening and everyone wanted breakfast for dinner. We hadn’t been to VI for awhile so we headed over.
I got the Veggie Omelet. Theirs are usually really fluffy but not this time. Lots of filling, Hashbrowns were great, Toast was too hard to eat. My husband got the Chicken Fried Steak. This was always one of his favorite things here! He was bummed cuz it seemed to be overcooked and they changed the gravy.
Little Guy loved his meal. Funny Face Pancakes! Medium sized child just wanted Scrambled eggs and they came out as a singular form- pan shaped. The kids ended up eating a good portion of our entrees.
When the childrens were very small we used to come here all the time. Loved it. Hoping it was just a really off night.
food was prompt & yummy, though my waffle was pretty cold. fair prices, i pretty much only get VIB.
best part for me: enjoyed the best london fog i have ever had! will certainly return to this location
I finally got the “Manager ” to come by as leaving and I told her the Waitress could use more training on her customer service ( I just wanted to help her to improve. i have 40 year in sales training) and I asked for my meal to be comped as I didn’t eat it.
The Manager was INSULATED as said. ” How dare you say my Waitress needs more training!!!!” “And I’ll comp your meal and you are kicked out of this restaurant and you can’t return!!!”
I have been a good client at that Village Inn for over 40 years and then kicked out because I mention that the service needed some improvement!!,
Looks like the manager needs a bunch of customer training too.
I wish I could pass this up to a District manager as it’s Very Shifty Way to treat Clients…
Zero Stars, Zero Stars, Zero Stars!!!!
