We go here every weekend for a brunch date. We’ve become regulars and have a great server (Sam). Today however, above and beyond. Look at this sandwich. Picture perfect. The food has always been great, never have to send anything back. But today I was just blown away by how amazing it was presented. Great job, everyone! Best restaurant in Derby, by far!!!

Had to.change up our morning routine and went to Village Inn. The food was really good, great coffee and excellent french silk pie. It was a little slow getting our breakfast and took a little longer than normal to get our coffee. But overall, the service was good, it was fairly quiet, not many uncontrolled children, and the staff was friendly. Great experience.

We got a pie here for Christmas. Unfortunately it was burned and we didn’t realize until we were eating it on Christmas Day. The berry filling was fabulous, but the crust tasted charred. I would hope for better quality control.

Great food, service, and atmosphere … Only issues was with the chopped steak, there’s no option of less than medium well (which isn’t great if you like a tender steak). Also, the description is “smothered in mushrooms” and there was less than 7 mushroom slices on it … that’s not “smothered.” There also needs to be gluten-free substitution option for the Texas toast.

A DERBY DELIGHT When it’s always a hit and miss or maybe a “kinda okay” experience, I pull out my phone when it’s exceptional.
From the moment I walked through the door to the moment I left was spot-on!
The first thing I noticed was an inviting entrance. Fresh pies to the left of me, comfortable seating to the right for busy times and a smiling face greeting me as I walked in. He was very professional looking and well kept. The booth he seated me in was very comfortable and not shot like most booths I sit in. Overall the place was clean. My waitress just kept the positive ball rolling. She was VERY polite and not just initially but EVERY-TIME she came to the table. The food was excellent as well.
This should be the model store for the whole chain. Well done Village Inn of Derby. Well done.
My buck stops here…..and will again.

Great hot and fresh food every time! Friendly staff, recommend going on Free Pie Wednesday you can eat it there or take home after your meal
