Friendly staff. She stopped by several times to check on the meal.
I’ll go back again and try out their lunch menu next time. If that goes well… then the dinner menu and evening staff.
In my experiences the staff can make or break the entire experience of dining.
It’s just as important as the food.
AND free pie on Wednesdays!
Decor was standard normal, not chessy or overly fancy. Prices on par with the food. No complaints.
The Village Inn has good food and service. The waitresses work really hard to serve you. Their pies are great. We bought an apple pie to go.
Sometimes it’s difficult to find a parking spot only because their food is good and a lot of people eat there.
They were not busy. I had to ask for hot sauce more than once, and she acted like she didn’t even remember.
I killed flies at the table! They kept trying to land on my coffee or on my food.
I won’t be coming back. It used to be one of my favorite places to go.
This cost $17 without a tip!
My expectations we set low , I’ve been let down by other similar chain restaurants.
When we arrived. Immediately greeted with a smiling face and seated . Our server was absolutely perfect. It was our first time. She was great at explaining menu and soup options.
Diana W. Was superb and the best server ever. Even if the food wasn’t great. We would come back just because of her. (But the food eas awesome)
I ordered the AYCE fried fish. Omg they gave so much on first plate , I didn’t need to order anymore . This fish compares to English fried fish, crispy, golden and not greasy. Fries were crinkle cut and seasoned well. Same was typical coleslaw (I’m not a fan of any)
Brother ordered the gigantic Double decker club . This sandwich was huge . Nicely toasted, layers of meat cheese and bacon with fresh crisp lettuce and tomato and a lil mayo .
2 adult daughters got the VIB create your own breakfast. They were very ecstatic about that option. As they didn’t wanna be stuck with something they don’t like. And 1 has a slight egg allergy.
Biscuits n gravy . Soft , fluffy biscuits with a mild pepper gravy. (Needs more sausage) very delectable. A stack of 3 pancakes so sweet, buttery and light n fluffy , country or home fries . Golden brown tender and crisp . With of course bacon… need I say more
Other one was pancakes , Golden brown hash browns , bacon and biscuits n gravy
blueberry pancakes topped with real buleberries .. Omg didn’t even need syrup .
And huge . Sausage links were perfectly cooked as well as the over easy eggs. (Most are overcooked )
Also had an order of onion rings. So crispy flavorful. I usually need ranch but these were totally awesome .
Pies pies and more pies . What can I say. If I lived closer . I’d definitely buy all my holiday lies from them .
Chocolate silk,
Coconut
Now for the bad part… They was out of Banana cream
But that gives us a reason to come back
Total for 5 people and 1 whole pie with 2 additional pies , extras and 5 drinks
$125
Which is very cheap for the 5 of us. ( we eat out weekly as a family
