Ordered here for the first time a few nights ago. It was through DoorDash. I had a BYO pizza (cheese, feta, sundried tomatoes, and pesto) that was sooo greasy. The entire box was saturated and the pizza was soggy. Had to roll up the slices to even attempt to eat it. Flavor wasn’t bad, but difficult to eat from the oil. Our other pizza was a specialty and literally didn’t have toppings on 1/4 of it. I’m not sure what happened? Had heard good things about this place and had high hopes.

Great spot. Has more of a NY counter pizzeria. The pizza is also really good. The lunch specials and the daily specials are a good deal. Great spot for a quick lunch bite or take out.

We have been visiting here happily for the past few months on Wednesday nights for their BOGO pizza. The price point is great for families with kids. The service is always pleasant, on the phone and in person. Nice selection of toppings for any palate. 4 stars for lack of salt in crust which is a preference.

Such a disappointment. I’ve ordered from this location numerous times. The last two times have been an unpleasant experience. I always tip and never make a big deal if something is missing or not how I ordered it. However last night was by far the worst. I don’t understand how they though serving burnt pizza was acceptable. Finding good and consistent quality food in Columbia is so difficult. Very unfortunate.

I’m on my food world tour as I am new to the area. I love pizza and I haven’t had any since moving here. Someone suggested me this place and so I stopped by. I will not be returning. My food was ready upon arrival, the place was clean, and the service was nice but I just truly do not like the pizza. I think it’s the dough maybe, but yeah I’m not even sure I’ll finish it. I want to follow up and say the pizza is not nasty. I just personally do not like it. I have high pizza expectations and this just didn’t hit it. But give them a try for yourself and see how you like it!!

Very enthusiastic staff; they talk with you, very friendly, seem delighted to be there, the staffs pizza making skills are on point, you can see them flip the dough in the air, fair pricing, and just overall a great place. They do have high chairs and they have military discount.

I love Village Idiot. The pizza is New York style w NY style slices. Great prices and specials. I’m so glad my sister introduced me to this place. Moved about 20-30 min away and still go out of the way to go. Delicious food is worth the drive!!!

“If you’re a pizza connoisseur” please look elsewhere. Here is a picture of one of our Saturday night 8:20pm delivery pizzas. It was supposed to be a ham and pineapple pizza. There is literally only 7 tidbits of pineapple on a 16” pizza. As you can see, not much going on. With gratuity $60.00 doesn’t get you much and the additional pepperoni pizza wasn’t much better. I would recommend looking elsewhere for the money and quality of pizza they provide. Good luck

Love the new dairy-free, VEGAN cheese option & hope that it stays permanently! This is true NY style pizza which is a big ask once you move from the northeast to SC…however, you have nailed it. Perfect toppings to sauce to crust ratio. First time I have ordered a large pizza since moving here that felt like a true large. Have been hearing how great Idiot Pizza is for almost 12 years but could never try it until today because I can’t eat dairy…man I was missing out. Please keep this dairy free cheese as a menu option so I can keep coming back 🙂
