This was my third time coming to Village Deli. The food is good but pretty overpriced (tenders & drink = $18.35) but I was okay with paying the cost because I didn’t have to travel too far while on my lunch break. I had a horrible experience today with the staff specifically Brandi & Ashonda. I come to this deli because it’s near my job. However, after my experience, today I’ll be driving the extra couple of miles to another Deli with better customer service. Brandi & Ashonda found it appropriate to talk about their customers (loud enough that the customer could hear them) because they veritably didn’t care what I thought. (So it was said) Long story short I asked for a breakdown of the price. On my receipt, that information was not captured. Brandi & Ashona either didn’t know how to break it down to me or felt they didn’t have the time. Either way, they made me very uncomfortable.

Big menu but expensive for average food. You’re paying for location. I wish they’d simplify their menu and serve better food instead of trying to have something for everybody. That isn’t their model. They want to be a convenient place for all of the employees to eat an okay breakfast and lunch for $16-20 per person. They are struggling finding employees, so I didn’t ding them another star for the bad service at the register. I hope they are able to narrow their focus for better food and get quality employees with better service.

I would have given a 5-star had it not been for the cashier. I enjoyed the food very much but the cashier woman had horrible customer service skills and that bleed into my ability to fully enjoy my meal. Try the Philly!

I love the atmosphere, staff and food at the Raleigh Location. The Aviation Pkwy location is so different…the veggie soup had a bite of a carrot and a bite of a potato and the rest was broth. Tuna sandwich was great; however the service is so bad and rude that I would never come to this location. The gal taking my order apparently she really wanted to go home and was not happy that she had to take my order. They close at 3:00 and I came in at 2:25 PM. I ordered my food and they put it in a bag to go even though I was eating inside the restaurant. The staff was cleaning up all around me – putting chairs on top of tables then mopping around my feet. It was a sign that they wanted me to get out of there. I left 20 minutes before 3 o’clock because it was so uncomfortable with the mop sloshing around my feet!

Ordering a sandwich is a joke; ordered a turkey bacon club and got regular bacon; called the restaurant to explain that my sandwich was wrong. Went back to the restaurant and the woman (older) who is at the front curbside / pickup was extremely rude and dismissive. Why is she working at your store??? If you want to continue bettering your business, you should have a strong conversation with her.

Granted it was lunch time. Monday at 1230 but waited for 25 mins for a grilled chicken salad that was $15 to get lettuce. A small portion of chicken. Cheese and they forgot the dressing. Each visit this place gets more and more expensive and less good at the delivery of what is ordered.

Ordered the “house made” chicken salad sandwich on homemade white bread. Chicken salad was tasteless and clung together like it was pre made from food service supply. The bread was dry and stale – I just ended up throwing it away. It was pricey too. What a waste. Not sure what happened to this place but it’s certainly not what it used to be.

i dont like leaving bad reviews but this is so the owners can read this and fire their employees. I own a few businesses and I can tell you employees like this are no good it is 2:35pm Friday May 19. Website says opened till 4pm and door states opened till 4pm. Go in the door amd both employees tell me is closed. I state that door says 4pm and they say no ot is wrong we close at 3. Which if it is 2:35 you should still serve even if close at 3pm. People just dont want to work anymore these days.

How do you mess up a turkey club? Three slices of the dryest, most flavor-absorbant bread I’ve ever had for one cold club. It’s not hard to charge 16 dollars for a turkey club, but I could a got a turkey club this good dumpster diving at 7-11. Take out the middle slice and use bacon instead of upholstery leather and what you’ll have is a stock image of the product you tried to sell. Two stars cause the fries were aight, and cause this is an easy fix. Nobody likes bread that much, and even the Big Mac knows it’s cutting corners.
