Got the Veggie Burger again.
Requested the patty not to smashed down so it wont spill out of the bun and actually has a bite to the burger.
The woodstock location does not smash down the patty.
Despite the request the cook decided to smash the patty into a thin large disproportionate disc.
The beans and rice were not cooked in the patty.
It was not mashed into a patty.
There was no flavor or structure. Just plain vegetables, rice and beans. The corn made it overly sweet.
It does not make sense to have a large thin oversized patty on a tiny burger bun.
They put two onion rings instead of a whole onion slice on the burger and 1 small piece of lettuce which is not even visible in the pic.
The sauces were barely present.
The blue cheese was barely present.
It tasted like raw flour was mixed into it.
Ordered half and half sides with Onion rings and Fries.
I kid you not, I was given exactly 6 onion rings.
Onion rings were 1/4 of the portion size instead of 1/2.
The batter was thick and onion rings were not cooked inside yet the batter was over cooked and oily.
The Cajun was sprinkled on the fries and not tossed with the fries. The fries itself were fresh but not hot.
The waiters are still very accommodating. They communicated the requests well to the kitchen. The cook decided to refuse and do whatever they want and deliver poorly.
Food was a let down this time.
Hopefully things will be better at the next visit.
I request the restaurant to stop skewering the order paper on the burger with the toothpick.
It leeches ink and chemicals from the paper along with small pieces of paper getting stuck on the food.
1st visit:
They have excellent service.
Their fryers are separate for meats and other appetizers which is extremely considerate for their vegetarian crowd
They also cook their Veggie burgers on separate surface if you mention un-contaminated food
Every single thing I have had at Village burger has been excellent so far.
This time I went with Blue cheese crumbles on patty, VB Sauce and Chipotle sauce.
The VB sauce goes so well with the Pickle fries which are drool worthy
Onion fries are just as good. Crispy and light.
Everything was Fresh and hot!
Special mentions to the fact that Village Burger is consistent with their service and taste across other locations I have been too ♥️
Wonderful staff with a welcoming atmosphere. Always a lovely experience.
More success to you all!
I had the Village Burger with lettuce, tomato, fresh jalapeño, pickles, bacon, caramelized onion, mayo, and ketchup. It was really tasty. Onion rings on the side were crisp and full of flavor. Also got a kids’ burger with bacon and fries. No complaints there either.
Good food, easy atmosphere. Would recommend.
