Unfortunately, the service was a big letdown. When we were seated, everything started off great, they asked if we were celebrating anything special, we shared that it was our 10-year anniversary, and they congratulated us. After that, it went downhill. We ordered appetizers and then were completely forgotten. We finished them and still hadn’t had our dinner order taken. We eventually had to make eye contact just to get help.
The gentleman refilling our water was attentive and kind, but he wasn’t our server. We were never offered a dessert menu, and while I didn’t expect anything complimentary, it was disappointing given that most places acknowledge anniversaries, especially a 10-year one. We ended up leaving to get dessert elsewhere because we felt overlooked and honestly a bit dismissed.
The food was amazing, but given the price point and the importance of the occasion, the service really missed the mark. As much as I loved the food, I’m not sure we’ll be back, which is a shame considering the great reviews we’ve heard about their customer service.
We dined on Christmas Eve, which made things a bit chaotic. However, the waiters repeatedly squeezing through the narrow space behind our chairs felt disrespectful for an established restaurant.
We then split an entree of the Snapper a Lo Mochi. Definitely an item to split, as you get an entire snapper. One of the best things I’ve ever had. Sooooo good.
Our server Magda helped us with our choices and was very insightful in assisting us in choosing the right wine.
Just a great night out. Coming back soon.
My girlfriend and I were celebrating Valentine’s Day a week early (because who actually wants to go out on Valentine’s Day?), and we were greeted promptly by the hostess and escorted to our table without delay. Our server—whose name unfortunately escapes me—was attentive, personable, and consistently present throughout the evening without ever being intrusive.
We began with the calamari, which was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Next were the oysters, which were incredibly fresh and beautifully presented with a hominy pico. The Blue Point oysters were exceptionally clean, with no grit or shell fragments—clearly handled with care.
For our entrées, she ordered the Aji de Gallina and I chose the Lomo Saltado. Both dishes were executed beautifully and bursting with flavor. Portions were more than fair, and we both left feeling completely satisfied.
Dessert sealed the experience. The flan was excellent, and our server graciously prepared an off-menu affogato for me, which was nothing short of incredible.
Overall, this fine dining experience in Tucson absolutely delivers at its price point. Everything—from service to execution to atmosphere—was spot on. We will definitely be returning.
