Reviews
Of emerald green and chocolate dreamed.
I sought the crunch, the toasted gold,
The story that the viral videos told.
But at Villa Nueva, the vision died,
A hollow shell with nothing much inside.
Where was the kataifi, the buttery thread?
A ghostly whisper of texture instead.
Instead of the rich, deep cocoa glow,
They let the white chocolate overflow.
A milky mask for a missing crunch,
A disappointing end to a hopeful lunch.
Too much pale sweetness, too little bite,
It didn’t sit well, it didn’t sit right.
For a “Dubai” treat, it missed the mark—
A flicker of flavor, then out went the spark.
We ordered the Turkey Club Sandwich, Granola Bowl which came with a Muffin and Chicken tenders with Fries.
The coffee was okay.
No toilets in the restaurant, had to use Starbucks’ next door.
This classic bakery has its own fun vibe and very fresh tasting food. If you don’t get hooked on their delicious cookies you’ll become addicted to their breakfast croissants the way they make their ’s fresh and buttery gives the scrambled egg, bacon, ham or sausage filling a flawless base. One bite in and you’ll wonder why anyone else can’t make em like that. It’s literally the very 1st stop I make anytime I visit San Diego and has never disappointed me. Try it out! #YoullThankMeLater
